Join Sarah Hatton and Artisanal Apothecary for the happiest of
happy hour yoga classes! Artisinal Apothecary is a CBD self care
company co-owned and operated by one of our very own instructors,
Sarah will lead us in a 90 minute yang flow followed by some sweet yin stillness. Get pamered at the end of your practice with CBD love and stay after for some bubbles, wine, and light snacks! Basically it's the trifecta of happy hour perfection!
This hybrid sequence is the perfect compliment to your power vinyasa class, especially if you are looking for a new way to play your edge. Beginning with Yang, the popular style invigorating and energizing flow designed to support additional flexibility while continuing to build strength. We will then transition to Yin; an introspective, slower-paced meditative style of yoga used to drop the body into stillness while we work to quiet the mind. During this portion these poses will be used to explore passive stretching while each pose is help for 3-5 minutes releasing fascia and connective tissues and allowing our bodies and minds the opportunity to open.
Addictive behaviors separate and disconnect us from ourselves, our loved ones, our interests, and so much more. Conversely, yoga means union; integration and balance.
The Yoga of 12-Step Recovery weaves the wisdom of yoga and the practical tools of the 12-step programs to explore addiction and recovery within the body/mind continuum.
The intention of this workshop is to create a sacred space upon which we will discuss addiction, it's characteristics, the 12 Steps and Principles, the history of Yoga and the 8 limbs. We will explore the similarities between the two philosophies and journey through the stages of recovery using a blend of the tools of each tradition to bring us to wholeness.
This workshop is open to anyone and everyone dealing with their own addictive behaviors or affected by the addictive behaviors of others. You need not be an addict to attend - just come learn! I will share some intimate, personal experiences along my path to recovery.
The workshop will include detailed discussion with handouts. Also incorporated is an all-level yoga practice and guided meditation.
