What you will delve into is a vocabulary of dance moves that eventually we will practice enough times to put into a little choreographed routine by the end. Each individual pattern is first learned and then by the last couple classes we will put them all into one!

If you have always wanted to get the spicy taste of Bachata at a fun footwork pattern level, this is a great class for you. Plenty of flavor filled moves, and you get a chance to learn some great Latin moves that you may have seen in a Zumba or Latin fitness class.

Note: Masks will be mandatory and small classes. Maximum 10 students per class.

Optional: If your not ready for in studio classes, we also have optional virtual classes online. So the same class will be online in real-time and recorded as well for reference. YOu will have one week to download the full class and use for your benefit and practice!

This dance is Mambo in disguise. Many don't know that Mambo is the original dance and Salsa is what popularized the genre underlyingly. This is a special workshop series as this subcategory of salsa only gets taught to performers and dance team members of ETOWN SALSA. A portion of this class will be footwork in solo and the majority will be partnerwork patterns. You will learn timing on2 which will be an essential part to this class that requires music appreciation.

You will need to have some dance experience in Salsa on1 or other dance background in partnering dances in order for you to grasp the concept of Mambo as it really focuses on music in order for you to succeed at this dance. Good music background , especially in percussion is key to mastering this style. We recommend completing at least one series of level 1.5 (Salsa on1) in order to join this class. This class is designed to challenge you but we will take the class at a slow pace in order for everyone to understand the timing concepts well.

Salsa has the most vocabulary of patterns as it has a rich history of generations of this dance in many different genres. You learn maybe a few in Zumba class but this is much more and you will learn to have confidence in Salsa like never before. SUPER FUN CLASS!
