This dance is Mambo! Salsa in disguise. Many don't know that Mambo is the original dance and Salsa is what popularized the genre underlyingly. This is a special workshop series as this subcategory of salsa usually only gets taught to performers and dance team members of ETOWN SALSA. A portion of this class will be footwork in solo and the majority will be partnerwork patterns. You will learn timing on2 which will be an essential part to this class that requires music appreciation.

You will need to have some dance experience in Salsa on1 or other dance background in partnering dances in order for you to grasp the concept of Mambo as it really focuses on music in order for you to succeed at this dance. Good music background , especially in percussion is key to mastering this style. We recommend completing at least one series of level 1.5 (Salsa on1) in order to join this class. This class is designed to challenge you but we will take the class at a slow pace in order for everyone to understand the timing concepts well.

If you've always wanted to learn a little bit more of Salsa from a group point of view, try out some Casino Rueda (“wheel” in Spanish) to keep the vibe fun and sociable. The idea is to start with one partner but there is constant rotation of partners as the couple synchronize to make this dance unforgettable. You will truly have a blast as it makes your dance experience a very fun one! Register for the next class :

This class is for those that have foundation in Bachata such as conventional inside and outside turns. You have basic fundamentals in timing and ladies can do little bit of hand styling. Gentlemen will have basic hand positions techniques to guide your partner. This class covers modules 5-8 in our 8 class Level 1 series.

This class will cover more hand styling for ladies, as well as more partnering hand techniques for the men to cue their partners. A review of modules 1-4 will be covered in 1 class so if you want to challenge, to skip , please make sure you have as a prerequisite the above mentioned fundamentals. If not, partnering experience are essential to challenge, especially for the lead role.
