But how do you know if your yoga practice is safe for your bones?
The Safety Zone is the place where the body’s framework operates as optimally as possible and with much awareness.
Without awareness, strength and balance, this silent disease will cause bones to become more porous and lose structural integrity.
In this workshop, you will learn how bones remodel. You will locate your individual Safety Zone. You will then explore a yoga flow incorporating some well-known yoga postures; and how they relate to creating a safe practice for osteoporosis.
This 2.5 hour workshop is guided by Jennifer Herndon, certifed yoga teacher and physical therapy assistant.

We will practice assists in most of the primary poses found in a traditional vinyasa flow class.
In addition, the workshop will include advanced poses such as handstands, arm balances, and assisted deep stretch poses (using Thai Yoga techniques)
You will leave this workshop prepared to offer hands-on assists
safely, effectively, and with a renewed sense of confidence in any
yoga setting - from private lessons to large classes.
