DEEP & MINDFUL ENGAGEMENT: IN ASANA

Move my hips which way? I'm supposed to engage which muscle?

We ask this question at the beginning of every practice. The two most important things in our yoga practice are body awareness and body control. So much more so than muscle or obvious physical strength. How can we do a pose if we don't understand what we're feeling or where we should be feeling it?

So we have to learn to how our bodies move, then we can begin to more deeply access them whichever direction we're in.

Prerequisite poses you should have knowledge of and some experience with before attending this workshop:

Phalakasana – Plank Pose

Malasana – Yoga Squat

Garudasana – Eagle Pose

Navasana – Boat Pose

Utkatasana – Chair Pose
