This event is our very own Duals held @ Somers Sports Arena. You can use one of your credits or pay $30 to enter. If you aren't doing enough events then use a credit, but if you have enough paying the $30 is more cost-effective.

June 19th - June 22nd
Be sure before purchasing. Check your calendar! This is non-refundable.
This camp takes place in Georgia. This has nothing to do with the travel team and is a separate ala carte purchase. The cost includes camp fees, ride to and from airports (unless you choose to leave from a different airport) and lodging. This does NOT include airfare. You will have to purchase airfare separately. We need all athletes to arrive in Atlanta around the same relative time so we can transport them to the camp. Please contact John directly for flight information.
If you need a payment plan for this trip please contact Shana directly
A note from Coach Degl:
The Georgia Penn State camp is an absolutely wonderful experience.
The Coaches are at every session. Coach Sanderson, Cunningham, Cody Sanderson and Jake Varner were at every session the past several years.
David Taylor and Carter Starocci are also at most sessions. Since they are far away from their home and dorms, they tend to just spend a generous amount of time with campers. I find it to be a fantastic opportunity to spend a lot of time learning from them.
It's expensive, but a great value in my opinion, which is why I personally go every year.
This will be my 9th trip down to GA.
If you are interested in learning more about what goes into our fee for this trip, feel free to contact Shana

A note from Coach John Degl:
Why invest in the Intensive camp when we train all year long? Pain!
While we certainly work the boys hard in the confines of the club schedule, everyday life does interfere.
The Intensive Camp is the tool we use, annually, to break through plateaus and to work on the boys threshold for pain. While it’s not dangerous in any way, it is intense. The presence of outside athletes provide an atmosphere for competitiveness in runs and training. The Staff at NC State will take zero excuse as athletes are immersed in a super intense and competitive environment for 5 days straight. They will be sore at the end of day 1 and will need to fight the desire to relax. Resting will be hard with 3 sessions a day but this camp is meant to push your mind. The physical aspect is hard but manageable if your mind is right. If you aren't mentally prepared you will suffer, but that’s the point. Suffer yet prevail!
We have done this or a version of it since 2006. Coach Pat Popolizio was the head wrestling coach at Binghamton University from 2005 to 2012. During his tenure at Binghamton, he led the program to new heights of success, including the team's first-ever top-25 finish at the NCAA Championships
Since taking over as head wrestling coach at NC State in 2012, Coach Pat Popolizio has built a highly successful program with a remarkable record of achievement. Here are some highlights of his record at NC State:
7 consecutive top-10 finishes at the NCAA Championships (2015-2021)
11 individual NCAA All-American honors
3 individual NCAA National Championships
6 ACC team championships (2016, 2018, 2019, 2021, 2022, 2023)
3 ACC Wrestlers of the Year
1 ACC Freshman of the Year
5 ACC Coach of the Year
1 NCAA Coach of the Year
In addition to these accomplishments, Coach Popolizio has fostered a culture of excellence. The consistent Top Ten performances speak to that team first mindset. In an individual sport to have that culture is just a testament to Coach Pop’s skill as a leader. It is clear why he was recognized for his coaching acumen, winning the National Coach of the Year award in 2018 and being named ACC Coach of the Year five times (2016-2019, 2021).
