Valeriia, Award-Winning, Professional Dancer the Middle East
Recently relocated to Sarasota, Florida, from Mariopul, Ukraine, Valeriia is truly an artist, beginning to teach and perform and nestle into communities here on Florida's West Coast.
Valeriia is the winner of the professional level of the 2019 Ahlan Wa Sahlan competition in Egypt, the world’s premier bellydance festival! Not only is she adept in Egyptian style belly dance, but in many Middle Eastern styles. Having danced all over Dubai, UAE, Bahrain, and other countries, she loves teaching Khaleegy among other styles. She has relocated here after fleeing her home in Ukraine - her life there as a physician coming to a close, and a new chapter opening here in America.
Her dance embodies the fluidity and flare of a true artist, with impeccable technique, a full and sharing heart, and experience to share to transport you into the beautiful world of the classical Egyptian dancer.

Tahitian Soft Island Waves Choreography w/Karen Sun Ray
Embody the sway of the sea and become an island girl dancing to the beautiful love song, Mareva. Whether you are learning it for the first time or refreshing your memory, we will break down the movements and their meaning to fully express the beauty of this song. Everyone who signs up, whether you can be there in person or not, will receive the recording of the workshop so you may practice on your own. We will also be reviewing the dance each week in Island Groove class (Thursdays, 6-7pm) each week in October.

Ring Like a Queen Zill Choreography w/Karen Sun Ray
Empower your dance and grab people's attention! Be a part of the music by playing zills while you dance this fun, sassy, upbeat choreography to the song Wardi la Habibi. Whether you are learning it for the first time or are refreshing your memory, we will break down the steps and rhythms in this workshop. Everyone who signs up, whether you can be there in person or not, will receive the recording of the workshop so you may practice on your own. Must have your own finger cymbals (zills) ready to go.
