(Open to all): Each class will begin with a group discussion time followed by meditiation and gentle yoga postures suited for practioners of all levels. Breathwork is incorporated along with the use of yoga props to support overall well-being. This class adds a healing aspect to anyone's life who is feeling seperated from themselves or the world around them.
The characteristics and effects of addiction can easily be described as separation. Addictive behaviors disconnect us from ourselves, our loved ones, our environment and so much more.
Conversely, yoga itself means union, integration, balance. Yoga and its practices teach the fine art of balancing our multi-dimensional lives while living in a complex world.
Y12SR is a holistic model to address the physical, mental and spiritual dis-ease of addiction in any form. Informed by the latest research in neuroscience and trauma healing, Y12SR “connects the dots” by combining the somatic approach of yoga with the cognitive approach of the 12-step recovery model – the most well-known addiction recovery program in the world, with millions of active practitioners.

Scientific research shows that restorative yoga can significantly reduce the effects of chronic stress and support relief from anxiety, depression, and PTSD. By calming the nervous system and reducing perceived stress, restorative yoga helps regulate the body’s stress response—lowering heart rate, blood pressure, and respiratory rate. It also supports increased heart rate variability, a key indicator of the body’s ability to adapt to stress in a healthier, more flexible way.
This 6-week series blends deeply relaxing restorative yoga with insights from yoga philosophy to help you reconnect with yourself and the world around you. Each class offers a supportive environment to unwind and recharge, using gentle postures, breathwork, mindfulness, and meditative awareness. Blissful candlelight and soothing essential oils will take your experience to the deepest level of relaxation.
Perfect for anyone seeking stress relief, this series is designed to soothe the nervous system, promote inner calm, and build lasting skills for well-being. Classes meet once a week and are accessible to all levels—no prior yoga experience is required.
