The benefits of the Hot 26 series stem from proper alignment. That is why we often say, “5 seconds done correctly is better than 60 incorrectly.”
Join Anna (E-RYT 500) to examine Hot 26 in depth: the postures, the breath, and the therapeutic potential of both. ***The room will be chilled to mid 80s, of course! :D
Anna will show how every posture may be done depending on your anatomy (and your injuries, if any). You will tailor the poses to your unique needs, so your practice is safe and very effective. You will work on modifications for the most common injuries, AND explore the ways to advance your poses.
For new yogis and seasoned practitioners alike, this workshop will be excellent resource to take their Hot 26 practice to the next level
This course is for teachers and practitioners who want to learn more about Yin Yoga in the context of Traditional Chinese Medicine and the 12 meridians.
TCM offers a holistic approach to optimal health and wellbeing which emphasizes harmonizing with nature. We will explore the 5 elements in depth to understand their functions and how we may cultivate balance within each element. After tracing each meridian’s pathway, participants will focus on which Yin postures encourage Qi flow along the target areas. Each day of the training will include at least one full-length Yin yoga practice.
Yoga teachers can earn up to 20 CEUs for the 300 / 500 RYT certification and /or continuing education requirement with Yoga Alliance.
Tweenteens from the ages of 10-15 are invited to participate in an 8-week journey toward improving physical posture, health, and emotional well-being.
These formative years can be challenging with bodily changes, mood swings, and increased stress levels both academically and athletically. Kids are expected to excel while not taught any skills on how to regulate their often overloaded and still developing nervous system.
The more connected students become with technology the less connected they are to their bodies. Our goal at the end of this course is not just to release the “tech neck” but also to build confidence, self esteem and self regulation.
Using yoga asana (postures), pranayama (breathing tools), guided
meditation (relaxation) and discussion we will guide kids to form a
foundation for more self-understanding, self-love, and personal
growth.
Benefits:
Reduce anxiety and daily stress
Improve focus and optimism
Improve sports actively involved in
Improve body image
Improve self esteem
