Whether you are new to the exploration of energy or you are an advanced student or wellness professional, this journey is sure to ignite profound understanding and engagement with the Chakras, ancient centers of lifeforce (prana) or energy.

Join Grace Jull, the anatomy specialist for over a decade with the Kripalu Yoga Teacher training and Massage school, as she guides you through the exquisite terrain of your body, blending the frontiers of science and esoteric insight with rich experiential exercises. Understanding the Chakras offers a coherent map to inhabit yourselves with more clarity and creativity, allowing powerful collaboration with the vast intelligence of your body, mind, and spirit. By uniting the ancient maps of the Chakras with modern anatomical structure, Grace teaches you how to become more deeply at home in the center of your source and soul.

During your time with Grace explore:

  • Experiential exercises and yoga practices that will energize and expand your awareness.
  • Grounded and illuminating anatomy instruction about systems associated with the Chakras, particularly fascia, the glands and nervous system.
  • A deeper understanding and access to the psycho-spiritual aspects of these centers of intelligence and self- expression.
  •

Yoga students and teachers alike will benefit from this exploration, and will leave with a greater compassion, capacity, and curiosity in discovering your body’s full potential. Befriend your body more deeply, taking with you the resources to perceive your body, mind and spirit as your beloved companion, living with greater potency, flow, freedom and pleasure.

Mantra Chant Intensive with Ian Boccio
May 31, 2019 - Jun 2, 2019

Join Ian for this foundational intensive intended to familiarize students with the basic theory and practice of mantra as a personal, spiritual path.

The following is a general outline of the topics which will be covered in each session of the Level 1 Mantra Chant Intensive:

Session 1.

Basic definitions of mantra and sacred language. An introduction to Sanskrit pronunciation. Mantras for Gaeśa and Sarasvatī.

Session 2.

Mantras for Lakmī, Durgā, Śiva and Viu. Explanation of mālās (counting beads) and how they are used. Preparatory practices and an explanation of daily sādhana. Understanding deity vibrations and the nature of conscious energy. How to interact with deities on a personal level. The role of mythology and storytelling in spiritual practice.

Session 3.

Lectures on the underlying theory behind mantra, using information gained from texts of the yoga tradition as well as practical experience. Major topics include the nature of śakti (divine energy), prāna (life force) and kundalinī(evolutionary energy), a detailed examination of the cakra system and the relationship between that system and the Sanskrit language. Discussion and practice with bīja mantras (seed sounds) that encapsulate the basic vibrations of reality.

Session 4.

Advanced topics in mantra practice. The gāyatrī and mtyunjaya mantras (it will probably require 2 hours just to go over these 2 mantras, and even then we will only touch the surface!). How to develop a specific mantra sādhana to achieve a particular goal. The structure of deeper practices. Discussions about the students' personal practices with a Q & A session.

Understanding the Bhagavad Gita (RYT300)
Jun 15, 2019 - Jun 16, 2019

The Bhagavad Gita appears in the 6th Book of the Hindu Epic Mahabharata. Written somewhere between the 5th and 2nd centuries B.C., the Gita has long been considered one of the most influential texts in the World. In a conversation between Prince Arjuna and his charioteer Krishna, universal themes such as renunciation vs. action, proof vs. faith, and seen vs. unseen are explored in depth along with the concepts of Karma, Dharma, Bhakti and Yoga.

The text has had international influence, informing the writing of American authors like Ralph Waldo Emerson, Henry David Thoreau and Walt Whitman. Mahatma Ghandi turned to the Gita for consolation during his campaign for Indian Independence, and many other prominent politicians, philosophers, psychologists and leaders have lauded both its beauty and its message for centuries. For Yoga Practitioners world-wide, understanding the Gita has become an essential part of discovering the philosophical premise that underscores the practice.

Join Sheila, former Professor of Writing and Literature and Owner of Johns Creek Yoga and Duluth Yoga for this weekend introduction to the Bhagavad Gita. Explore the main themes of the text, learn about its historical context and background, and discover how its ideas can enrich your life.

An Origin Story: The Yogi, The Professor and the Monkey
Sep 27, 2019 - Sep 29, 2019

Origin stories are at the spiritual and philosophical hearts of cultures around the world. They help us relate to the magnificent universe around us (and within us) through human context and experience. Where do spiritualism (the Yogi), science (the Professor), and the primal mover (the Monkey) meet?

In this special workshop we will widen our perspective to look at yoga, science, and conscious movement to alchemize an inspirational, motivational world-view-infusion that just might lift your bright practice to a whole new level. Discover the Quantum Pelvis and liberate your inner Conscious Monkey.

Sean Tebor inspires intuitive, primal movement through an evolving adaptation of Yoga as a path for integration and conscious embodiment. His teaching is supported by years of exploration in the art and science of core-oriented movement, expression, and physio-energetic integration in a practice that invokes a personal relationship with Source.
