Join Grace Jull, the anatomy specialist for over a decade with the Kripalu Yoga Teacher training and Massage school, as she guides you through the exquisite terrain of your body, blending the frontiers of science and esoteric insight with rich experiential exercises. Understanding the Chakras offers a coherent map to inhabit yourselves with more clarity and creativity, allowing powerful collaboration with the vast intelligence of your body, mind, and spirit. By uniting the ancient maps of the Chakras with modern anatomical structure, Grace teaches you how to become more deeply at home in the center of your source and soul.
During your time with Grace explore:
- Experiential exercises and yoga practices that will energize and expand your awareness.
- Grounded and illuminating anatomy instruction about systems associated with the Chakras, particularly fascia, the glands and nervous system.
- A deeper understanding and access to the psycho-spiritual aspects of these centers of intelligence and self- expression.
Yoga students and teachers alike will benefit from this exploration, and will leave with a greater compassion, capacity, and curiosity in discovering your body’s full potential. Befriend your body more deeply, taking with you the resources to perceive your body, mind and spirit as your beloved companion, living with greater potency, flow, freedom and pleasure.
This workshop is part of our RYT300 Yoga Teacher Training, and includes both students from the public and students in the teacher training.

Join Ian for this foundational intensive intended to familiarize students with the basic theory and practice of mantra as a personal, spiritual path.
The following is a general outline of the topics which will be covered in each session of the Level 1 Mantra Chant Intensive:
Basic definitions of mantra and sacred language. An introduction to Sanskrit pronunciation. Mantras for Gaeśa and Sarasvatī.
Mantras for Lakmī, Durgā, Śiva and Viu. Explanation of mālās (counting beads) and how they are used. Preparatory practices and an explanation of daily sādhana. Understanding deity vibrations and the nature of conscious energy. How to interact with deities on a personal level. The role of mythology and storytelling in spiritual practice.
Lectures on the underlying theory behind mantra, using information gained from texts of the yoga tradition as well as practical experience. Major topics include the nature of śakti (divine energy), prāna (life force) and kundalinī(evolutionary energy), a detailed examination of the cakra system and the relationship between that system and the Sanskrit language. Discussion and practice with bīja mantras (seed sounds) that encapsulate the basic vibrations of reality.
Advanced topics in mantra practice. The gāyatrī and mtyunjaya mantras (it will probably require 2 hours just to go over these 2 mantras, and even then we will only touch the surface!). Yoga Nidra, or “dynamic sleep,” is a unique approach to deep relaxation, meditation and transformative dreamwork that can be practiced with little or no yogic experience, yet it encompasses the full breadth of yoga psychology and meditative insight. Yoga Nidra is typically administered to a group by a trained instructor, though it may also be employed in a one-on-one setting (e.g., in place of or as an adjunct to counseling, psychotherapy, energy work, etc.) and, ultimately, may become the foundation of your yoga practice and journey of self-discovery.
Level I of Evolutionary Education’s Yoga Nidra Teacher Training Certification Course is a comprehensive and nourishing, 12-hour teacher training and retreat-style experience featuring gentle movement, breathwork, and several opportunities to both receive and guide the immensely restorative, deep relaxation of Yoga Nidra. The training will also feature integrative discussion/Q&A on the philosophy and evidenced-based research supporting the practice, including how it relates to waking, dreaming (e.g., lucid dreaming) and consciousness, healing trauma, releasing anxiety, alleviating insomnia, overcoming nightmares, etc. Among our learning objectives are for you to: • Receive a succinct yet adaptable method for delivering Yoga Nidra to diverse audiences. • Explore ways to incorporate Yoga Nidra into yoga classes, schools, health care clinics,
private practice, home/family life, etc. • Examine the theoretical and philosophical foundations of Yoga Nidra, including how it
relates to counseling theory, psychology, yoga, mindfulness, Buddhism, etc., as well as
evidenced-based research, trauma-sensitive approaches and ethical concerns. • Practice how to connect with yourself and others, foster empathy and develop clear
boundaries, while instilling additional strategies for self-care, wellness and prevention. • Develop tools for deepening your own practice, finding your voice, and speaking
authentically from your heart. • Learn to relax more deeply into the present moment, let go of your fears, revitalize yourself
and tap into vast creative resources.
This program is open to all levels and no experience is needed. All participants will receive a training manual and, upon fulfillment of all course requirements, a certificate of completion for Level I. Yoga Alliance members are eligible to receive 12 hours of CE credit.
About the presenter:
Nick Atlas, PhD, E-RYT 500 is the Director of Evolutionary Education® and the author of The Light Travelers, which tells the story of his decade-long, mystical journey, a generation “waking up,” and what happens when waking and dreaming merge into one. An adjunct professor of Transpersonal Psychology at Atlantic University and pioneering lucid dream researcher, he has been practicing and teaching various forms of yoga, qigong, meditation, healing and expressive arts since 1998.
