Awaken the Spine

Harmonising a sweet balance of the principles of both practices: Yoga and Pilates, whilst keeping both disciplines separate and individual to awaken and heal the spine.
 
Heal the spine with an open mind
We will awaken and heal the spine with a series of opening and releasing yoga poses, encouraging tension to dissolve. Invite the mind into a meditative state to allow healing throughout body and mind.
 
Awakening and twisting the spine
Find a deeper level of rotation through the spine. Not just pivoting from the few movable vertebrae but exploring a twist that comes from the base to the crown following a series of opening movements.
 
Honour support from within
Target the inner core and pelvic floor with a sequence of slow, controlled core exercise, to strengthen the core and fire up the belly.
 
Mindful movement to lengthen
Ease out any compression in the spine and lengthen out the entire body, creating space and freedom.
 
Nourish and massage
Learn how to use walls and props to target the buttocks, spine and shoulders. Let go of muscle tension, improve circulation and stimulate the lymphatic system.
 
Deep restorative mediation
Usher the body back to its natural state. We will bring the mind and body into a deep restful state to encourage harmony and clarity with the option of an essential oil, using gentle adjustment to guide the body and establish trust in the sense of grounding.

Winter Wind Down Workshop

A combination of detoxifying and stress relieving postures followed by candlelit guided meditation and use of relaxing oils throughout. Restore and reset, in time for the new year. Join us for this slow-paced workshop led by Roxy, to unwind and relax as you let go of 2019.
 
 
First part - Begin with gentle movement through a series of detoxifying, stress relieving poses to eliminate toxins and negativity including breathing exercises.
 
 
Second part - Enjoy a flowing sequence of poses to encourage warmth in the body and settle the mind.
 
 
Third part - Candle lit meditation to focus on positive intentions for the New Year and to let go of anything no longer required.
