The Love Shack- A Divinely Feminine Movement Practice

Join Jenny Weaver from The Love Shack in this 1.5 hr class is designed to wake up your muscles, connect you to the muse within and leave you feeling positively radiant!

Melt into the soft glow of a dim room as you join in a movement practice for your mind, body & soul. We open with a 5-7min guided meditation to land us in the present moment. This is followed up with a 45 minute mat workout set to music. While most workouts are geared towards the masculine (linear), ours is very feminine; more circular and slow, which wakes up muscles we might not know we have! It also connects us to the power of our authentic sexuality.

The circular and slow are very important to us. We want to feel the freedom to take up space. A lot of women, southern especially, have been taught to keep it small, cross your legs, be a good girl. And in this, some women have forgotten to celebrate who they are within their beautiful bodies! Your new movement language will then be put to good use in 20 minutes of guided group dance and music tasting. We wrap up our experience with a brief closing circle. Come be our guest, and melt into the soft glow of body bliss!

Join Jackie in a powerful practice that explores the balance between deep stillness and dynamic movement in yoga.

We will begin in the Yin style with long holds that stimulate energy flow deep in the joints and connective tissues. Yin yoga is a gentle yet intense approach that can help you develop greater mobility and can allow energetic blockages to open up. The slower more meditative pace creates the opportunity to stay mindfully present in the moment through breath and body awareness.

Next we will move into a more dynamic flow of Vinyasa style yoga that strengthens and invigorates the body. This part of the workshop will include more active movement that builds internal heat and stimulates more energy flow while developing balance and strength. We will practice staying centered through movement connected to breath.

We will also use Pranayama to explore both the Yin and Yang elements of a well rounded yoga practice.
