Self Myofascial Release is becoming a complement to yoga as it's an effective tool for reducing pain and enhancing range of motion. This training will include a more in-depth study of connective tissue and fascial anatomy, function and dysfunction of the tissue, and the therapeutic application of SMFR techniques in a yoga setting. This is a whole body approach and also reinforces knowledge of anatomy and movement. SMFR tools and techniques will be covered as well as approaches to teaching private and group classes.
Myofascial release tools will be required for participation - recommended tools are Rad Roller Recovery Rounds and Rad Roller Centre. Homework assignment will be due for certification.
