Weeknight Workshop Series: Intro to Meditation w/ Tara Marini

Each class in this meditation series includes a 15 minute lesson, 30 minutes of yoga, 15 minutes of seated meditation and 15 minutes of group discussion. You will learn the best yoga poses to prepare for meditation, a customized meditation seat and breathing tools. This series will also provide a variety of techniques including mantra meditation, guided meditation, and contemplation for creativity and self-improvement.

Studies have shown that the combination of yoga and meditation can positively impact mental and physical health. Whether it’s by reducing stress, improving sleep, increasing focus, research shows that mindfulness works. With the ever-growing demands of today’s society, it’s easy to get caught up without taking a second to stop and simply breathe. Learning how to meditate can be straightforward, and the benefits can come quickly. Here Tara will offer basic tips to get you started on a path toward greater equanimity, acceptance and joy.
