Project based programming. Intro Classes are helpful but not required. All skill levels are welcome. We love students ready to dive in and give it a go. You can take this class along with Watercolor1 and make it a day of creativity. During these 6 weeks, I will demonstrate how to paint the following specific subjects: Black Squirrel, Jelly Fish, Botanicals, Octopus, Luminous Flame, and one TBD the class will select. You will work from photo references and create your own versions. It’s a lot of fun and learning. Bring a friend and enjoy the support of your art community. All supplies included. Module 3: Sunday 9am – 12:30pm: Introduction to Meditation
It will include choosing a mantra and the practice of mindfulness.
Module 1: Saturday 9am-1pm: The Definition of Yoga and Asana with Elements of a Class
Specific attention will focus on warm-ups to begin a class, sun salutation and developing your own personal practice.
Module 2: Saturday 1pm – 5pm: Anatomy: Overview of the Body
It will include skeletal structure, muscles and joints, tendons and ligaments, and the cardio-vascular system. The practice will look at the importance of alignment in various asanas.
Module 3: Sunday 9am – 12:30pm: Introduction to Meditation
It will include choosing a mantra and the practice of mindfulness.
Module 4: Sunday 12:30pm – 4pm: The 8 Limbs of Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras
It will follow with a review and variations of sun salutation.
