The Art of Circle
Oct 12, 2025 - Oct 12, 2025

The Art of Circle with Rachel

Join Rachel for an intimate and heart-centered Cacao Circle at Mati Yoga Studio.

Over seven years ago, Rachel first heard the call to serve Cacao in community spaces as a way to support social wellness through vulnerability, authentic expression, and heart-to-heart connection. She has been facilitating Cacao Circles ever since, with each passing year bringing new knowledge as the wisdom-keepers of the ages continue to reveal their guidance through the safety of humanity’s expanding awareness.

As Mati Yoga Studio has become a temple for kindred spirits to root into community, Cacao Circle is a natural fit. (Read more about the origins of The Art of Circle at Mati here.) This sacred gathering offers space to connect deeply with yourself and others as we journey into the infinite depths of the heart.

Rachel's devotion to this work was recently reignited after supporting Tim Morrison’s Soul Flight Ceremony in Boston, where Tim led over 150 beings through a cacao-infused shamanic journey. Deeply inspired, Rachel now brings refreshed vision and soul-excavating coaching tools into her circles, gently weaving in shamanic elements to support inner transformation.

Whether it’s your first Circle or your fiftieth, you are welcome exactly as you are. Each gathering is an emergent co-creation, shaped by the unique energy of the group and held within a loving container of trust, presence, and surrender to the flow.

Bring your favorite mug, a courageous and receptive heart, and a willingness to receive the love and unconditional acceptance that flows when we come together in circle, attuning to the frequencies of coherence and harmony.

Join the Mati Community for a Fall Social Gathering
Oct 18, 2025 - Oct 18, 2025

Let’s step off the mat and come together to enjoy food, conversation, and the warmth of community. Fall invites us to slow down, share, and celebrate the simple joy of being present with one another.

Thích Nht Hnh taught that the next Buddha will appear not as one person but as the Sangha, the strength of community walking together with mindfulness and compassion. This gathering is a chance to embody that spirit, to connect more deeply, and to honor the season of reflection and togetherness.

Bring your presence, your appetite, and your open heart. We look forward to sharing the evening with you.

Extended Practice with Sara Basile
Oct 25, 2025 - Oct 25, 2025

Extended Practice w/ Sara Basile

Class Overview:

Extended Practice is a two-hour yoga workshop designed to deepen your relationship with movement, awareness, and presence. In this session, we will focus on cultivating full-body awareness by exploring movement through each part of the body.

While the human body is one interconnected whole, we often experience it through its many parts—hips, shoulders, spine, breath, and beyond. In yoga, we cultivate awareness by tuning into these parts individually, noticing how they move, align, and interact. By breaking things down in this way within each pose, we create space to explore the body with greater clarity. This detailed attention not only refines physical alignment but also reveals the subtle connections that bring the body back into a sense of wholeness.

Each posture will then be broken down into its fundamental actions—such as pelvic positioning, internal or external rotation of the limbs, and the subtle movements guided by the breath. By isolating and exploring these building blocks, you’ll notice how each part of the body contributes to the whole. This approach opens a series of choices within every shape, empowering you to adapt the posture in ways that feel supportive, expressive, and uniquely your own.

This workshop emphasizes awareness, reflection, and the quieting qualities of the breath. By staying present in each movement, students can access a deeper connection with their inner experience, cultivating a meditative state that extends beyond the mat.

All levels and bodies are welcome. Please bring along anything that will support your comfort during this extended 120-minute class.

The Art of the Spine
Nov 23, 2025 - Nov 23, 2025

The Art of the Spine

The spine is the central channel of support in the body. In this workshop Chris will guide participants through gentle practices that build strength, stability, and mobility using breath and mindful movement. Students will leave with simple tools to support spinal health and a deeper awareness of how the body carries us every day.

Chris’s connection to this work is deeply personal. In 2015 he broke his back and underwent spinal fusion surgery. That experience transformed the way he approaches movement and taught him the importance of patience, resilience, and mindful care for the body. Nearly ten years later, Chris feels grateful to share the practices that helped him reconnect with his spine and rebuild trust in his movement.

This workshop is accessible to all levels and welcomes anyone looking to improve mobility, release tension, or care for their back in a supportive way.

Join Chris for this special session and discover the art of the spine.
