Come experience KINSTRETCH!! Led by Ana Almeida for a special Sunday session.
Kinstretch is part of Functional Range Systems, and is a
movement enhancement system that improves body control,
flexibility, and usable ranges of motion. It teaches your joints
how to work their best on their own and together with other joints
to handle life's demands. Kinstretch is a class based in Functional
Range Conditioning methodology that is a comprehensive joint
training system based in scientific principals and research, used
to increase range of motion where needed, maintain joint health,
and improve overall body control.
Kinstretch is not just a stretching class. It is an active class in
which we spend time in positions specific to one joint, and
incorporating different levels of isometric effort to increase
range of motion and/or build resiliency in a range of motion. We do
also spend some time passive stretching to increase your
flexibility. Stretching is a skill we can get better at, and
passive flexibility is a pre-requisite to active mobility. Passive
flexibility is always followed with active work. Each class also
incorporates breath training.
This methodology works as prehab in a way to reduce limitations,
pain and mitigate injuries, and can work as rehab by keeping the
body moving in a safe and controlled range of motion. Kinstretch is
not a sport, is a supplement of the activities that you, giving
more usable range for you to be able to move better.
Everyone benefits from Kinstretch, from the athlete that wants to
increase performance, to the grandmother that wants to be able to
keep moving without pain and limitations.

Close to a decade of teaching, the best advice June gives her students is to practice with a beginner’s mind. She believes the roots of Yoga might start as a physical form to hold the strength of the body, but with time, effort and patience the practice can transform lives. In this beginner’s course, June will introduce you to the foundation of the practice through solid alignments in relation to the seven major chakras. The East and West components of the classes will be the gateway to get to know Yoga.
The course includes a free week of unlimited yoga after the conclusion of the course.
We provide all props. Please wear comfortable clothing, bring water to hydrate, and be prepared to learn a lot! Looking forward to seeing you.
Although we encourage you to come to the studio, please let us know in advance should you need to practice from home and we will arrange for a Zoom link.
