Ben Kalra - Yoga Philosophy Part II: The Bhagavad Gītā
Oct 17, 2026 - Oct 17, 2026
The Bhagavad Gītā is a dynamic dialogue between Arjuna (a noble
warrior) and Krishna (the
embodiment of awakened consciousness). Faced with an imminent
battle against his own
family, Arjuna is overwhelmed by doubt, fear, and confusion.
Krishna offers Yoga as the path
toward clarity, courage, devotion, and self-realization.
Across 700 verses, Krishna explains why action is unavoidable, how
wisdom dissolves
ignorance, why devotion is the heart of Yoga, and how meditation
turns the mind from an
enemy to an ally. The Gītā teaches lived philosophy, or “skill in
action” (BG 2.50). In this
workshop, we’ll explore the big ideas and themes presented in the
text.
