Yoga Basics Series

This series is designed for those who are interested in starting a yoga practice by learning the fundamentals first. Students will meet twice for two 2-hour sessions in a workshop style setting, along with getting a 4-week unlimited studio membership for all the regularly scheduled classes.
 
In this series, students will learn basic yoga postures and breathing practices as well as what to expect in a yoga studio setting. The focus will be on safe alignment rather than a “perfect looking posture." You will have the opportunity to ask questions in a supportive, safe environment. By the end of the series, students will have a working knowledge of many fundamental yoga postures and should feel confident moving into yoga classes in the studio or joining us safely from your home.

*This is also a great series for those who have been practicing but want to revisit the fundamentals of basic postures.

Pricing: $79/person (Two 2-hour workshops + 30 Days unlimited yoga)

Join us for a relaxing evening of Auricular Acupuncture and Yoga Nidra

Yoga Nidra or Yoga Sleep is an opportunity to be guided through progressive muscle relaxation while turning your awareness inward through breath work and imagery. Yoga Nidra is approximately 45 minutes of relaxation where the expectation is to relax into your space and become as comfortable as possible. A yoga mat, pillows and blankets are strongly encouraged.

Auricular Acupuncture involves the gentle placement of up to 5 needles in each ear. The natural benefits can include stress relief, increased calmness, better sleep, and less agitation.

Brishia Kluck is a certified acupuncture detoxification specialist and Helen Dobb is a registered Yoga teacher, certified acupuncture detoxification specialist, and certified yoga Nidra guide.

Tantra Hatha Chakra Flow

Tantra yoga is a practice of relaxation and deep presence through linking movement and breath in a more open and free practice than vinyasa or power yoga styles. We will warm up with dancing and sun salutations before embarking on a journey of pranayama(breathwork), asana(postures), and mantra(chanting) through each chakra moving energy from the root to the crown to intentionally find a higher state of consciousness and connection. To me, yoga is more than just postures and a workout but is a way to relax my body to find mediation and a depth of life as well as a blueprint for a more intentional way of living to find the divine in each moment. Yoga is a science or technology to join the physical, emotional, and subtle energy bodies. By moving energy up the spine and opening and balancing each energy center, or chakra, we clear what no longer serves us and move into a higher expression of self. We will move and meditate to cultivate more joy and see the interconnectedness of all life as the energy moves through the body. The practice will end with a short yoga nidra guided relaxation meditation and brief sharing circle. Although not necessarily for beginners, the practice can be modified to suit all levels and bodies.

Please bring a mat and a willingness to get weird!
