Yoga for Black Men: Strong Enough to Rest is a restorative and empowering workshop created specifically for Black men to reconnect with their bodies, breath, and inner stillness in a welcoming, affirming space. Led by Dr. Mason, a lifelong educator and yoga practitioner, this session invites participants to redefine strength—not as constant effort or endurance, but as the courage to pause, soften, and rest.
Through a thoughtfully curated blend of yoga, meditation, breathwork, journaling, and sound therapy, participants will be guided toward releasing physical tension, calming the nervous system, and cultivating mindful self-awareness. The practice emphasizes gentle strength, flexibility, and stress relief while honoring rest as an essential and radical act of self-care. This workshop offers Black men the opportunity to slow down, listen inward, and experience rest as a powerful foundation for healing, resilience, and wholeness.
