Be prepared to keep your baby as safe as possible and to give them the care they need in an emergency. In this workshop we will learn about the most common injuries for infants (up to 1 year of age) and how to prevent and treat them. This will include choking, managing bleeding, broken bones, burns, allergic reactions, breathing problems, poison emergencies, and heat-related emergencies. We will also talk about safe sleep for infants and ways to reduce the risk of Sudden Unexpected Infant Death, including SIDS.
To practice you will need:
A baby-sized stuffed animal or doll
2“ X 2” non-sterile gauze pads (or any you have on hand)
