Mar 8, 2020 - Mar 8, 2020
$35 by 3/1; $40 after
(Members save 15%)

Living in this bustling city can be exciting with so many things to see and do, but we need to remember to include self-care into our routine in order to ease physical stress and mental fatigue. This self-care workshop focuses on body awareness, mindfulness & following your intuition using Tibetan Singing Bowls, Restorative Poses, Thai Bodywork and Meditation.

Tibetan Singing Bowls create an audibly soothing atmosphere with vibrations felt throughout the body, while Thai bodywork increases physical relaxation through touch in this intimate workshop. Participants will be working in pairs. Each person will take turns being a giver and a receiver learning techniques to relax the body and mind, with the aim being that you take home what you learned and use it as part of their self-care routine.

Wear comfortable clothes that you can move around in. No prior experience in sound or movement is needed. We hope that you will leave feeling lighter yet grounded and more in tune with yourself.

About the Instructors:

Maggie and Grace met in the summer of 2016 during their 250hour Aerial Vinyasa Yoga Teacher Training at Om Factory and are both Registered Yoga Teachers (RYT) with Yoga Alliance.

Maggie has a background of academic research and earned her PhD in researching traditional architecture of the Himalayas. She has always been interested in the nature of intimacy of a home, physically and mentally. In recent years, she started her development in wellness through Sound work such as Tibetan Singing Bowl and Pansori Living Sound. She has held private sessions and workshops in Hong Kong, Malaysia, Taiwan and Australia and is excited to bring her work to New York City.

Grace has a background as a musician, dancer and visual artist. Since attending a Thai bodywork workshop years ago, she fell in love with the practice. She continues to attend workshops in order to gain more knowledge in this field, moving people into easeful poses in an intelligent flow. She has held corporate & private sessions in vinyasa yoga, restorative yoga, and meditation, and often mixes in a dash of Thai bodywork.

Maggie & Grace are excited to collaborate on their Sound & Touch offering and hope to provide their passion for guiding self-care and giving people a space to be.
