Aerial Yoga 101 is the perfect introduction to the magic of yoga in the silks! This beginner-friendly workshop is designed for those curious about aerial but not yet ready to jump into our regular classes. You’ll learn foundational poses, safety tips, and how to move confidently and comfortably in the hammock—all in a fun, supportive environment.
Aerial yoga combines traditional yoga poses with the support of a soft, fabric hammock suspended from the ceiling. This innovative practice allows participants to experience yoga in a whole new dimension, incorporating elements of aerial arts, Pilates, and traditional yoga.
In Aerial Yoga 101, the hammock acts as a prop, assisting practitioners in achieving proper alignment, deepening stretches, and exploring inversions with ease. As participants flow through sequences, they experience a unique sense of freedom and weightlessness, as if floating through the air. The practice offers numerous physical benefits, including increased flexibility, strength, and balance. Additionally, aerial yoga provides an opportunity for emotional release and stress relief, as practitioners let go of tension and surrender to gravity.
Prior Aerial experience isn't required-- this class caters to all fitness levels and flexibilities. HOWEVER, familiarity with yoga and the ability to do a Vinyasa, including a yoga push-up, are HIGHLY recommended so that you can safely enjoy the class. Structured like a typical Flow class, Aerial Yoga includes centering, warm-up, core and upper body work, postures, inversions, and Savasana—all facilitated by the assistance of the swing.

Release what you’ve been holding is a Yin style experience designed to meet you exactly where you are. Starting with a soft Yin practice with supported postures, intentional, breathwork, and deep fascia release, will invite your nervous system to settle and help your body let go of what it’s been quietly holding onto. The stress, the stories, and the stuff we never had the space to process. We will conclude with a meditation and soundscape of crystal bowls surrounded by candlelight, allowing the vibrations to do the work as you melt into peace and stillness.
