Withdraw from the chaos of the outer world and come home to the quiet place within.

Join Frankie for a special summer workshop that focuses on the two limbs of yoga called pranayama and pratyahara. Pranayama is the yoga art of breathing. Did you know that yogic breathing can decrease stress, improve your blood pressure, quiet your mind and create an overall sense of well being?

One of the challenges that we face when we want to start or advance our ability to breathe deeply is our inability to withdraw from the stresses in our life. The limb of pratyahara involves learning to focus your mind, directing it inward. This minimizes the impact of external stimulation on our mental and emotional state.

Most of us have experienced this state of pratyahara naturally in our lives, when we notice sounds or sights in our environment but these senses do not create any disturbances in our body or mind. We aren't reactive. The peace within us in undisturbed. We are in this world but not pulled away from ourself by it.

When we say we want to unplug pratyahara is what we are talking about. While turning off our devices or taking a vacation are awesome, having the ability to unplug in our everyday lives is priceless.
