Full Moon Sound Healing and Yoga Nidra - wtih Reiki and Head Massage
Dec 7, 2022 - Dec 7, 2022

Every full moon presents a powerful opportunity for illumination and release. Join us for a Full Moon Sound Bath and Nidra as Ed expertly strokes the bowls to make them sing until the healing vibes wash over your body, relaxing the muscles and calming the mind.

Satita will be sharing her massage skills with a hand or head massage and Kacie will be offering Reiki. Don't miss this powerful opportunity for healing and restoration.

Unwind and prepare your mind and body for a centered and grounded week ahead by enjoying Yoga Nidra (deep relaxation) and Sound Healing with the singing bowls. The mind and the muscles relax so they’re ready for optimal performance. Join us every second Sunday for our monthly Yoga Nidra and Sound Healing! You will go on an amazing sound journey while allowing the mind and body to rest deeply.

Sound Healing and Yoga Nidra is entirely a meditative session; we lie on our backs in Savasana for the full duration of the program and there is no movement. It is encouraged that attendees enjoy a deep meditative state; sleeping - though not encouraged - sometimes happens and that's okay. Honor your body and what it needs.

The joy of the program is quieting the body and the mind and allowing oneself to settle into a deep relaxation. The healing vibrations of the singing bowls and other instruments train the body and mind to relax and heal itself. It can be a deeply profound and healing experience. It actually has been shown to lower blood pressure and improve circulation! Come with an open mind about how the body and the mind can find an unusual sense of peace and healing.

All levels welcome - this is an hour of meditative relaxation with no movement.

Mindful Living Workshop Series - Cultivating Presence, Ease, & Joy
Jan 7, 2023 - Jan 21, 2023

What is mindfulness? “Mindfulness means paying attention in a particular way, on purpose, in the present moment, and nonjudgmentally”. -Jon Kabat-Zinn

There are many well-documented psychological, physiological, and spiritual benefits of mindfulness. More than 200 major medical centers across the US now implement many mindfulness-based therapies to assist in healing. But how do I practice it, and what does it mean to live mindfully?

Mindfulness is easy in concept- and challenging in practice simply because of our fast-paced, multi-tasking lives. Learning to be mindful is a powerful skill that can help us navigate the stresses of daily life. It can help us make our minds more user-friendly and our emotions less scary and overwhelming.

This workshop is a deep dive into creating a mindfulness lifestyle where our desire for presence, ease, and joy influence every decision and every action.

Marsha Engle LCSW, M.Ed., RYT300 is a psychotherapist in private practice In Virginia Beach. She works with teens and adults, and conducts individual and couples therapy. Marsha blends traditional “talk therapy” - Brainspotting and EMDR, Mindfulness-Based Psychotherapy, Polyvagal Theory - along with “less-traditional” interventions - mindfulness training, meditation instruction, and yoga therapy, for healing of mind-body-spirit.

Marsha regularly offers workshops on Mindful Living, and is co-author of a school/agency curriculum for social and emotional learning (SEL), Mindfulness and Movement for Children. Prior to her psychotherapy practice, she was a Special Education Teacher in elementary and secondary schools.

Marsha discovered yoga when looking for deeper healing from her own depression and PTSD. Asana became a very important practice for her own well-being, and she wanted to share this with others. After gaining her 200-hour yoga training from Studio Bamboo in 2010, she taught at Bamboo until 2019. She completed the 100-hour Certification in Yoga Therapy for Trauma and PTSD in 2016.
