More and more people are enduring some or all of these symptoms. At a
certain time in my life, I developed a debilitating case of depression coupled
with anxiety. My mind raced constantly causing me to be unable to sleep
despite being mentally and physically exhausted. I felt as if I had a permanent
blockage in my chest preventing me from taking a full breath. I began to feel
hopeless and started to have serious harmful thoughts. I felt this way for the
next two years. Day in and day out.
As a nurse, I was able to recognize that I was experiencing anxiety and
depression but could not find anything that was helpful to ease my burden.
Then I found yoga.
Shortly after beginning asana practice I began to feel better. It did not
happen overnight, but the tightness in my chest began to loosen. For the first
time in years I was able to breathe and for the first time in my life I began to
really know my body and explore the connection it has with my breath and my
mind. In short, yoga saved my life.
Now I want to offer you some of the tools that helped me on my journey.
In this workshop, you will discover how certain yoga poses can help bring you
a feeling of ease. You will receive meditation and breathing practices that you
can utilize for healing. We will discuss other tools beneficial for bringing a
sense of peace and calmness to your day. You will leave the class feeling less
alone and less fearful and more empowered, connected and seen.

Enjoy a mini-escape to Rancocas for a 2 hour guided hike and return for a 1 hour yoga flow in our Maple Shade studio. Treat yourself with some outside time - your soul will thank you!

Sound enables us o explore powerful meditation techniques effortlessly. Find deep states of relaxation, healing, and transformation as you are guided on a journey by various instruments and singing voices, enhanced by restorative yoga postures.
In restorative yoga we take very passive postures like reclining twists and folds and hold the postures with plenty of support such as blankets and blocks. Studies have shown restorative yoga activates the relaxation response in the body for deep healing, and this combined with sound has powerful effects!
Sound has been used for thousands of years as a way to positively influence the nervous system, induce states of healing, experience various states of consciousness, etc. Every culture has some sort of musical practice, whether it be simple singing and drumming, or more intricate artistic masterpieces. Ancient shamanic singing practices were used to create states of ecstatic bliss. Recent scientific findings have revealed much about the capabilities of sound to heal. The vibrations of each sound frequency can promote circulation and can release tension stored in our bodies' tissues, in addition to a plethora of other benefits.
The overtone singing practiced by Colin involves simultaneously producing multiple tones and can transport people to ethereal and otherworldly states of being. The Winter Solstice is a powerful time for deep reflection and transformation!

Divine Sleep Yoga Nidra® is a guided meditation that has the power to transform, heal and rejuvenate you at core levels. Through the use of body sensing, breath awareness, guided imagery and other practices, you are systematically guided on a meditation journey through each level of your whole being.
To assist in the healing powers of this practice, Zoe Varaso-Archer will be blessing the room with her gifts of Reiki healing. Reiki promotes healing throughout all layers of the self & is a special, sacred addition to this practice.
This 75 minute flow utilizes the wall throughout the vinyasa practice. The wall is used for alignment, as a support as well as a way to deepen into the poses. This class is for all levels with options for more advanced variations and modifications woven throughout the practice, as well as play time at the end.
