Hatha Alignment with Meditation

Hatha Alignment is a class taught in the traditional way based on the Himalayan lineage with an added benefit of strong alignment cues, refinement and technique. The energetics of the poses as well as mudras (hand seals), bandhas (energy locks), pranayama (breathwork) will be introduced as well as the philosophical, therapeutic and energetic undertones of the asanas (postures). Each class will end in the traditional way in Shavasana (Corpse Pose), with guided imagery (Yoga Nidra) to seal off the practice. Modifications and variations will be offered to greet each student where they are at. Please bring a mat and all your props if you have them; otherwise, studio props are available for use with cleaning protocols in place. Level 1-2
