Ceremonial Breathwork with Melissa Terese McLaughlin
Ceremonial Breathwork is a group breath session created around community healing and the practice of sacred ceremonies and rituals from our ancient lineages. The BREATH is the medicine. It is a unique experience and allows for deep gentle healing of your body, mind, and soul.
Your facilitator of the breath Melissa will begin with a welcome and share setting the intent for the session. You will then be taught the breath practice. Melissa incorporates Shamanic elements including the opening of Sacred Space, the singing of “Icaro” (song of blessing), the burning of Palos Santos, and the Anointing of scared oils allowing for a connection to nature, the spirit world, and universal Oneness. At the end of the session, there will be 15-30 minutes of integration where you may share your experience and allow for grounding after the breath session has ended.
No experience with breathwork or meditation is necessary.
All over the age of 12 are welcome.
$30 ($25 for SoulShine Unlimited member with code UNLIMITED)
Ceremonial Breathwork is a two-hour experience and it is suggested to have gentle activities planned after.

BREATHWORK MAY HELP IN A NON-INVASIVE WAY WITH THE FOLLOWING:
~ Relieve stress & anxiety
~ Manage and treat depression
~ Help curb addictions
~ Eliminate toxins invoking weight loss
~ Strengthen mental focus
~ Heal physical & emotional wounds and traumas
~ Boost the immune system
~ Inspire creativity
~ Establish healthy sleep cycles

The gentle pranayama methods of Ceremonial Breathwork for the most part are non-invasive. However, breathwork is not for everyone and you should consult your doctor first if you have a history of serious epileptic seizures, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, or major cardiovascular issues. If you recently have had surgery and still have stitches or other medical or physical conditions which would impair your ability to breathe deeply and lay on your back on the floor for an hour then perhaps Ceremonial Breathwork is not for you.

AcroYoga at SoulShine Studios is both for total beginners to get an introduction and demo *and* for experienced acroyogis to join in for indoor practice and play time.
What is acroyoga?
Acroyoga is a mix of three traditions:
- Yoga
- Acrobatics
- Thai massage
It’s a form of partner yoga but a more advanced, deeper dimension of it. It brings in the playful, powerful and technical influences of acrobatics, so there’s lots of lifting your partner, and the healing qualities of the massage. The philosophy of yoga embedded in it takes it beyond just a physical practice, it’s more than that, as we know with our regular yoga practice.
It was started in 2003 in the States by Jenny Sauer-Klein and Jason Nemer, a dancer and a yogi. You can find out more about them on the Acroyoga website www.acroyoga.org

Morning Altars™ Playshop
Centering Presence and Possibilities
We say, “Listen to our bodies.”
How about the Earth's body?
Are we listening, paying attention, or ignoring?
a note from Bosha, facilator for this special event
“I want to open your hearts and minds to the symbiotic relationship we can have with nature. Contrary to common opinion, the Earth can not wholly survive without us. It may do better in many areas, but we have a place in the lineage of our living world. Robin Wall Kimmerer makes the case in her book Braiding Sweet Grass with her dissertation on how Sweet Grass needs manual human disturbance in order to grow.
In this Mindfulness practice, you will create individual altars/mandalas using nature as your art materials.
We will begin in a circle where I will lead a short meditation and then explain the 7 steps of Morning Altars(TM) as a way of rooting yourself back to the natural world.
I will lead you on a silent foraging expedition, inviting you to rekindle your childlike sense of wonder and awe with the surroundings.
Afterward, we will come back to create our individual Altars/Mandalas, posing the question, "Can you be present to the possibilities and invite play into your experience"?
Once finished in the allotted time, we'll come together to share our altars and invite discussion about your experience.”
We'll me meeting at a local park - the location will be shared later.
