Janie's Yin Workshop is an invitation to dive into the gentle and deep practice of Yin Yoga.
This 2.5-hour experience is designed to offer a comprehensive experience of Yin Yoga, catering to your physical and emotional well-being.
The session begins with an hour of traditional Yin Yoga, focusing on deep, passive stretches that target the connective tissues, ligaments, and joints. This practice encourages a meditative state, allowing participants to turn inward and explore the depths of their body and mind. It's an opportunity to release tension, improve flexibility, and cultivate a sense of inner peace.
Following the initial hour of yoga, there will be a break for a relaxing beverage (tea or wine - it's up to you) and a chance to socialize with fellow attendees. This interlude is crafted to foster a sense of community and connection among participants, enhancing the overall experience of the afternoon escape. It's a moment to relax, connect, and enjoy the company of like-minded individuals in a supportive and welcoming environment.
The workshop concludes with an hour of restorative Yin yoga, a gentler and even more meditative approach. This segment is designed to deeply relax the body and calm the mind, using props to support the body in poses for extended periods. This practice is particularly effective for stress relief, encouraging a state of profound relaxation and rejuvenation.
Priced at $55, this workshop is a valuable investment in your physical and mental health, offering a unique blend of yoga, relaxation, and community.

AcroYoga at SoulShine Studios is both for total beginners to get an introduction and demo *and* for experienced acroyogis to join in for indoor practice and play time.
What is acroyoga?
Acroyoga is a mix of three traditions:
- Yoga
- Acrobatics
- Thai massage
It’s a form of partner yoga but a more advanced, deeper dimension of it. It brings in the playful, powerful and technical influences of acrobatics, so there’s lots of lifting your partner, and the healing qualities of the massage. The philosophy of yoga embedded in it takes it beyond just a physical practice, it’s more than that, as we know with our regular yoga practice.
It was started in 2003 in the States by Jenny Sauer-Klein and Jason Nemer, a dancer and a yogi. You can find out more about them on the Acroyoga website www.acroyoga.org
