Cultures throughout history and across the world, from Greece, India, China, and beyond, have based philosophies on the idea of key natural elements. With the inundation of social media and humanity’s current technological race towards AI, it is important for each of us to return to the natural world and come back in touch with what we can see, hear, feel, and experience.
Join Kat for an exploration of the five elements, loosely based on the Chinese phases of WOOD, FIRE, EARTH, METAL, and WATER. Each yoga class will focus on one particular element, creatively incorporating color, sound, meditation, and music to foster space for reflection and connection with your intuition. You will also learn how to write the Chinese character for each element at the end of the class to take with you and ground throughout the week.
Kat Gehman is a Yoga Alliance certified RTY 200hr experienced teacher and facilitator, and an ongoing student of Mandarin Chinese. She has tutored English as a Second Language and performed language learning exchanges with students based in China.

Are you struggling with anxiousness, insomnia, or feeling embodied? This class is for you. Breathing to Destress is an all-level breathwork class to help support healthy nervous system regulation. We will use mindful breathing patterns to promote presence, calmness, focus, sound sleep, circulation, and much more. This is an opportunity to step out of the chaos and into the calm.
Mats, blankets, bolsters, and chairs are available in the studio. Please feel free to bring your own. Other optional items to make your experience more immersive include eye masks and a small comfort item.
