You can buy this as a series or individual sessions! Whether you have happy hips or cranky hips, this series will be interactive and help you better understand this complex and important part of your body. You'll receive an hour yoga class, based on the different hip muscle groups. We'll go over anatomy, the importance of balancing out your yoga practice, and how to build stability in your hips. We will also review the sequence that we did that week, to discuss modifications and mindfully feel the muscles that you worked. Hip Hip Hooray! Here's the schedule:

Want to explore yoga for the first time or brush up on your
practice? This Beginners Series will be light-hearted and provide a
safe, fun space to explore the many poses of yoga and how to “flow”
in a yoga class. Alyssa will guide the class through not only
proper alignment, but finding the best alignment for your body. The
class will learn about and practice foundational yoga poses, such
as upward salute, the three warrior poses, triangle, extended side
angle, and balancing poses. We will also use yoga props, like
blocks, blankets, bolsters, and straps to get a deeper stretch and
better balance in a variety of poses.
This class is kept small to ensure that the group is provided individualized attention.

Alyssa has studied yoga for over fifteen years after first being introduced to the practice as a way to complement her love of long-distance running. She now teaches yogis of all ages and abilities, though her most frequent students are her two young sons and her elementary school students. Incorporating mindful breathing and movement has transformed her teaching career, her parenting, and her everyday life. She enjoys teaching and practicing many styles of yoga, ranging from power vinyasa and flow to restorative and children’s classes. Alyssa’s teaching style is lighthearted and fun while remaining down to earth, with a focus on balancing effort, ease, and the breath.

Join Jessica for Sound Alchemy Immersion at Soul Strong Yoga. Sound Alchemy is restorative sound bath experience that creates a space for you to reset, rest and reconnect to your highest self in a supportive environment.
Jessica leads us on a magical journey into the world of sound with the lulling sounds of crystal singing bowls, chimes, gongs, harmonium and drums. You'll enjoy a cozy restorative savasana pose as we are immersed in soothing sound waves for 75 minutes. You'll leave feeling calm and rested, and ready to meet what life has to offer.
All are welcome and no experience is necessary. Many props are available, and feel free to bring your favorites to create a comfortable nest to rest, as well as a light cover, socks and eye pillow.

The breath carries the vital energy of life and a direct door way into our nervous system. Through our breath we can harness energy and utilize it to support every aspect of our living experience. In this workshop, you can expect to move in gentle ways, learn the science of how deep breathing benefits the body and practice breathing exercises you can carry with you into your daily life.
BUTI Basics 4-Week Series - Get ready to take a deep dive into BUTI theory with Adrienne. This 4-week series is timed just right to get your foundational BUTI practice firmly in place before the potential chaos of the holiday season. In 4 consecutive Saturdays, Adrienne will cover BUTI history, style and meaning, Class Structure, Kundalini energy and the energetic body. You’ll explore the nature and reasoning behind Spiral Structure Technique®, learn core muscular structure and how to get those trademark BUTI abs. We’ll learn how and why the galvanizing practice of BUTI is considered yoga and how the 6,000 year old practice is so closely related to traditional Eastern yoga. Adrienne will take you through asana, yogic movement and transitions expected in a full length BUTI class. She will then close the series out with a high energy movement sesh dedicated to tribal dance, primal movement, musicality and glute isolation techniques. Each class in the series will consist of learning followed by movement. Flip the world up-side-down. Practice and learn inversions (maybe that you were always too afraid to try or even think) about in a safe, no pressure environment. Our wonderful teacher, Jackie, will guide you through yoga flows warming up the body for specific inversions, such as baby crow, crow, 8 angled and headstand. Then, together, the class will break down the poses, and practice them in a way that is tailored to your level.
No experience is necessary. We will be learning and practicing safe and fundamental preparatory poses, as well as various modifications and variations.
