Whether you have happy hips or cranky hips, this workshop will be interactive and help you better understand this complex and important part of your body. You'll receive an hour yoga class, based on the major hip muscle groups. We'll go over why most of us have tight hips, basic muscle anatomy, and what foods you can incorporate into your diet (for optimal joint function and health). Last, we will review certain poses that we did during your class, and offer modifications, so that you can practice at home.

Julie, Soul Strong Yoga co-owner, is bringing a very special Mala Making Workshop. At the workshop, we will create beautiful malas out of natural stone and silk thread. Julie will share a brief history of mala making and how to infuse your personal mala with joy and intention. We will also take time to discuss the meaningful uses of your mala necklace and how it can be a beautiful tool in your meditation practice. Creating malas together is just such a joy and a special time. We are excited to see you!
