BUTI Yoga 101 Workshop
Sep 7, 2019 - Sep 7, 2019

BUTI 101 Workshop - Have you wanted to try a BUTI class, and found yourself curious, but too intimidated to try? Are you an experienced BUTI practitioner who is just looking to reconnect with your practice? Or maybe you just love the Soul Strong vibe, trust their offerings and want to try something new. In the NEW BUTI 101 WORKSHOP we will touch on all aspects of BUTI, working to remove the mystique and expose the accessibility.

BUTI is a Marathi Indian word meaning the cure to something lost or hidden. BUTI Yoga is a soulful blend of power yoga, cardio-intensive tribal dance, conditioning and DEEP abdominal toning. It also facilitates complete inner transformation. Students AND Teachers are encouraged to let go of their minds and get into their bodies.

In BUTI we use Spiral Structure Technique and shaking to release dormant energy stores in the body and intuitively guided movement through asana to reunite mind, body and spirit. This energetic work and movement can initially seem intimidating and inaccessible, but in the BUTI 101 Workshop, Adrienne will teach you the hows, whys and history of BUTI, breaking down the mechanics behind Spiral Structure Technique, static shaking, chakra balancing through movement, native footwork, HIIT training, asana/yoga poses and all other BUTI essentials.

We will spend the first half of the workshop introducing and review technique. The second half of the workshop will be dedicated to movement as we incorporate workshop content in a full BUTI class where Adrienne will pay special attention to student alignment and where questioning during movement is welcome! Come join us as we explore the essentials of what you will soon refer to as your Soulmate Workout. Mat. Towel. Water. Soul.

We'll Cover:
BUTI Class Structure
Energetic Anatomy
Chakra Awareness
Spiral Structure Technique
Kundalini Awakening Support
The Perfect Chaturanga
Shakti Shaking
Bilateral Movement
The Mirror Effect

In Deep Core Strength, Clara Hayes will work with you on ways to build strength and endurance to create a healthy and safe vinyasa flow practice for life.

9/15, Float and Fly

In Float and Fly, Clara Hayes will work with you on how to float to and from Downward Facing Dog to the top of your mat. You will also work on several fun arm balances that you can float in and out of, while working on safe form and alignment.

9/22, Advanced Standing and Balancing Postures

In Advanced Standing and Balancing Postures, Clara Hayes will guide you through not only how to do fun postures, like Bird of Paradise, but also how to properly warm-up and listen to your body to prevent injury.

9/29, Arm Balances and Backbends

In Arm Balances and Backbends, Clara Hayes will guide attendees through heart-opening practice. This will be followed by instruction on backbends and arm balances (such as Side Crow), using props in innovative ways that can help you as you learn.
