

Stress is a normal part of being a modern-day human but how we manage stress can make the difference between feeling overwhelmed and depleted or negotiating it with ease.
In 2016, Jeni and Sandi discovered that the combination of relaxing restorative yoga postures and gentle Thai massage adjustments could be a powerful antidote for managing stress and inviting deep rest into tired bodies. Since then, they have been offering this workshop in yoga studios, on retreats and at yoga conferences.
Sandi is a yoga teacher, occupational therapist and a Thai Yoga Massage therapist. Jeni brings the experience of 35 years of teaching yoga. They invite you to unwind, relax and de-stress during this two-hour workshop.


Join us for a special restorative evening with live cello & singing by Karen Laura Peters. This workshop will focus on nourishing and calming our minds and bodies. We will ease into our practice with a gentle moving flow and then come into an hour of restorative yoga poses. We will build about 7 restorative postures and rest for 5-10 minutes in each while receiving the soothing medicine of live cello and singing.

Deep Dive: A Comprehensive Yoga Practice
Join Jeni Martinez for this workshop inspired by one of her beloved teachers, Kathryn Payne, who used to teach a similar class.
Deep Dive is an opportunity to explore the depth of yoga practice in an unhurried format that is difficult to achieve in a shorter weekly yoga class.
We will begin with a look at a yoga sutra from the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali, considered a foundational text of classical yoga philosophy. A sutra is one of almost 200 concise statements written in Sanskrit that speak to the theory and framework on which yoga was founded. After discussing the meaning of the sutra and how it is applicable to our modern lives, we will practice chanting it together.
We will follow the sutra study with an exploration of one of the many breath practices that can take your yoga practice to a new level. The workshop will include asana (yoga postures) and a restorative pose with a guided meditation.
Deep Dive will allow you to better understand the more subtle benefits of yoga beyond just stretching the hamstrings. Hopefully you’ll leave this workshop inspired to learn more about this ancient practice and how it continues to be relevant to your life today.
All yoga levels are welcome. Modifications will be offered as needed.
