Yin & Yoga Nidra
Join us for this beautiful two-hour deeply relaxing Yin and Yoga Nidra Workshop to counter any stress you are experiencing.
In the yin practice, we slow down and open the deeper tissues of the body that are often bypassed in more active forms of practice. Through holding the deeply nourishing postures, we have an opportunity to move inside and observe. Energetic sensation is in the form of emotion. Profound insight is also released. As a practice, yin is sensual and cultivates both calm and stamina in the form of stillness.
Yoga Nidra, also called yogic sleep, is a sleep-like state and is among the deepest possible states of relaxation while still maintaining full consciousness. One hour of Yoga Nidra is equivalent to 4 hours of sleep. At the height of the practice, the subconscious - where our deepest tensions are stored - becomes relaxed and open. You'll be guided into a familiar state of mental twilight between wakefulness and sleep. Practitioners of Yoga Nidra describe a floating feeling of luscious well-being. You will be transported to a blissful state of healing, harmony, peace and spiritual exploration.
