
The purpose of this workshop is to provide students with a deeper understanding of how stress affects their daily lives and how it can be managed with proper nutrition and lifestyle habits. Camille will guide students through breathing exercises, restorative poses, and meditation to help ease stress and anxiety. She will also be teaching students healthy tools to implement into their daily lives so that they can manage their stress at the root cause.
Handouts will be given out at the beginning of class, covering the following:
How anxiety affects your health through nutrition;
How anxiety affects your health through lifestyle habits;
Breathing exercises for alleviating anxiety;
Yoga poses to help relieve anxiety (restorative yoga);
Meditation for stress management;
Journaling prompts.
This workshop is open to all levels. Absolutely no yoga experience is required. Wear comfortable clothing and bring a warm sweater and socks for the relaxation portion of the class. Bring a notebook to write down your thoughts and takeaways. You will leave this workshop with tools you can implement right away to live with more ease and improve your quality of life.
About the presenter: Camille Alonso began her yoga & meditation practice 15 years ago when she was struggling with anxiety attacks. She turned to yoga & meditation to gain tools to manage her anxiety, and she is now passionate about sharing those tools with others. You can expect Camille’s classes to be restorative, rejuvenating, and an opportunity to connect back with yourself.
