Join Rev. Kimberly Braun, former monastic nun for a power packed afternoon connecting the dots between science, the brain, and personal wholeness of body, mind, heart and soul. After an opening guided meditation to get you ready, Kimberly draws upon the latest research to explain what is happening in the brain and body during the process of habit (we all have them, some helpful and some not so helpful.) From there, Kimberly refers to numerous research examples evidencing the power of meditation to help break bad habits and cultivate life-giving habits, she will show WHAT is actually happening in the brain and body.
Last, Kimberly will lay a strong case for the power that lies ready to be unleashed within you, if you choose to develop skillfulness as a meditator. As time permits she will introduce you to a number of different meditation techniques that have come to us from around the world. The session will close with another form of meditation.

In just 4-weeks learn to ease into the New Year with reduced stress and greater focus! This 4-class series will allow you to explore mindfulness, train you how to meditate, help you understand the neuroscience behind mindfulness and provide a foundation to launch your own wellness practice. Each class will include instruction and Q&A; the main purpose of each session is to train one’s mind through specific practices (Sitting, Walking, Loving Kindness, etc) ranging from 25 to 40 minutes each session.

Join Rev. Kimberly Braun for an inspirational, theoretical and experiential afternoon exploring Sound and Silence. Participants will be given an overview of the nature of Sound as seen from ancient cosmology and modern science, and a light overview of the history of how sound has been used for transformation around the world from as early as 40,000 B.C.
The dots will be connected between frequency and vibration, the human being, both physical and subtle, and the effects of Sound. An introduction to objects such as bowls, tuning forks and instruments and the voice, both receptive and active will be made and optional integration exercises will set everyone in motion towards greater insight and skillfulness when it comes to the use of Sound.

Learn active meditation tools to explore each of your seven main chakras (energy centers in your body). Release energy from your chakras that might be preventing you from having the life you desire (calm, clarity, peace, joy, prosperity).
All levels are welcome and encouraged to play, pretend, and imagine in each active meditation throughout this 4-week series. Learn about the many colors of you and how to balance them. Breathwork is a powerful healing modality, accessible by
everyone. With it’s profound ability to heal and connect, this
transformational practice allows us to tap into the universal life
energy, revered throughout time and known by many different names
such as prana or chi.
Emotions are energy, and throughout our lives when we don’t fully express or if we suppress or repress an emotion, the energy gets stuck in the body. We live under the weight of these blockages, which naturally and often unconsciously interfere with our well-being and our relationships. Breathwork uses the intelligence of the breath, and it's access to the universal life force, to travel throughout the body and find these blockages and release them. Not only are you healing years of unresolved experiences and patterns that no longer serve you, but you make room for clarity, peace, love, and to reconnect your most authentic self. The practice is safe and the results are life-changing.
At a bare minimum, you will have a beautiful, calming meditation that provides great stress relief. However, on the other side of the spectrum, there is an infinite amount of stunning possibilities including a sense of oneness, emotional releases, healing of old trauma, bliss, and so much more. There is no wrong way to do it and you are guaranteed to heal simply by allowing the breath to fill and flow through you.
Please bring a yoga mat, blanket, pillow, and eye cover. Wear comfortable clothes and don't eat a large meal 2-3 hours prior.
