Athletic Training for the Active Aging, a Summer Series

This series of cardio & strength circuit style classes is specifically designed for staying active as we age anmd features calisthenics, SAQ training (speed, agility, quickness) which will incorporate agility ladders, cones, agility dots, and steps. Track drills will include skipping, bounding, leaping, shuffling, and varying degrees of plyometrics depending on fitness level. This class will improve your proprioception, body mechanics, coordination, reaction time and improve cardiovascular efficiency.

Don't let the class series title disway you as we are all aging! Now, it's up to each of us to stay active!

Jen Allan brings over a decade of experience in the fitness industry and is certified through the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM). Her teaching style is highly accessible and emphasizes conditioning in cardio, core, resistance, balance, and flexibility, ensuring a well-rounded approach to fitness. Each weekly session will take place on the fitness floor at The Well Studio, providing a welcoming space for students to learn proper technique, challenge themselves, and connect with peers who share similar wellness goals.

Throughout the summer, enrollees will benefit from expert guidance, personalized attention, and a curriculum that adapts to various fitness levels with a progressive approach where each class builds upon the prior class(es). This series is an excellent opportunity to establish a consistent fitness routine, With Jen’s encouragement and support, students will leave each class feeling empowered and motivated to continue their fitness journey.

Deliberate Living 300 Hour Yoga Teacher Training

We are proud to announce our updated 300 Hour YTT. We have divided it into 4 Modules to allow the student to take their time with the curriculum.

Prerequisite: Student must have completed a Yoga Alliance Registered 200 hour YTT.

300 hour module schedule

Module 1: CORE (100 Hours) August-Dec 2025

Module 2: BUILD Your Yoga Business (50 Hours) March-April 2026

Module 3: CONNECT- (50 Hours) May-June 2026

Module 4: CREATE (50 Hours) Ongoing

Module 5: REST - Restorative Yoga (50 Hours) Repeat in Fall of 2026)



Module 1-CORE CURRICULUM- 100 hours

August- Dec 2025

Dates and Requirements

12-530p Saturday and Sunday (first weekend of the month)

(100 hour core curriculum)

August 1, 2- eight limbs and philosophy, learning to assist with a senior teacher.

September 6, 7- Overview of Anatomy and how it relates to yoga poses.

Oct 4, 5- Advanced Asana including inversion and arm balances and subtle alignment of popular poses

Nov 1, 2- Verbal communication and cueing and Intro to Chanting and Deities (guest instructor)

Dec 6, 7- Pranayama and meditation and closing- Stacy

  • required weekly classes for 6 months

  • required reading and homework 1 hour per week

 

Module 2-BUILDING YOUR YOGA BUSINESS- March and April 2026 (5 sessions)

  • March- April: creating workshops, intensives, retreats, teaching online

Dates and Requirements: Saturday and Sunday 12-530p

March 7,8,21,22, April 4

1- online zoom class-

Tuesday March 31 online zoom

20 hours of reading, creation of 1 recorded online class video to be submitted

1 day local retreat included

 

Module 3- DEEPER CONNECTION: HANDS ON, ENERGETICS(50 HOURS)

Dates and Requirements-

May and June 2026- energetics, hands on and assisting

  • May 2, 3, 16, 17, June 6- Tuesday May 26 zoom

  • 5 assisting classes, book report from list of choices

  • Practice teaching

Module 4- CREATE YOUR VISION: INDEPENDENT STUDY(can begin this after Module 2-building your business)

  • ongoing solo project (can start after business of yoga in april)- Independent study

Meet independently with Stacy to choose a topic and begin to plan the workshop or retreat.

  • weekly check ins and project due with 3 months of start date.

2025 Yoga Teacher Training- DELIBERATE LIVING

A full comprehensive Yoga Alliance Certified 200 hour program.

Lead Teacher: Stacy McGinty

Support Teachers: Teresa Gonzalez, Samantha Okumura, Laura Fasman and guest instructors.

Training will cover:

Yoga History, Philosophy, Complete Sequencing of Asana class, Anatomy, Biomechanics, Physiology, Ethics, Meditation, Pranayama, Chanting, mudra, chakras, Business of Yoga, Restorative and Yin and Special Populations.

7 month program

Cost: $3200/Early bird pricing $2900 (til July 2025) (payment plan options avail)

Program will meet the second weekend of every month and 2 Tuesdays online (first and second of each month). Students are expected to attend 2 classes in studio each week. (1 can be online)
