Yin Yoga for Emotional and Physical Well-being: Livestream

Are going through an emotionally or physically challenging period? Consider focusing on the organs and meridians that house these emotions and ailments with Yin Yoga. Yin is a slow-paced style of yoga, incorporating principles of traditional Chinese medicine with asanas (postures) that are held for longer periods of time. This practice strengthens the ligaments and tendons and reduces chances of injury.

In this four session series, we will practice asanas that correspond with each organ that houses our emotions. We will discuss theory of meridians and how blocked Qi (Vital Energy) can manifest into physical and emotional problems.

Our practice will begin with a 30-minute yoga nidra, which brings you to a state of consciousness between waking and sleeping. This will assist in stress relief and set the stage for our yin practice.

During each session, we will focus on one or more groups of organs that work together in harmony (Yin/Yang). This will include: Stomach/Spleen, Liver/Gallbladder, Kidney/Urinary Bladder, Heart/Small Intestines and Lung/Large Intestines.

Our practice will end with a 15-minute savasana. This is the time when we allow integration between our body and mind.

Pre-registration is required. Must have a minimum of 4 students to hold each workshop session.

Yoga + Wine at Priam Vineyards SPRING

Join us for a beautiful evening in Priam's indoor tasting room. You'll practice indoors in a beautiful, spacious area with the casual vineyard vibe. Once the weather is warm enough, we'll be moving outside. Classes will be held rain or shine (if it is raining, we'll either move class indoors or under the outdoor tent.) During your class, you'll flow through your poses and after, you'll enjoy a glass of Priam's award winning wine. Unwind and relax with plenty of Covid precautions in a safe environment.

Join instructor Monique Bellenoit, RYT-200 for an amazing journey into deep relaxation. Yoga Nidra means deep yogic sleep. This is the place you go just before you fall asleep. Monique will guide you as you experience a practice that is said to be equivalent to 4-8 hours of sound restful sleep.

 

This workshop will begin with some gentle flows to release tension in the body. The rest of the class will be a guided meditation practice. In this meditation practice, there is nothing required but to lie down and listen while you relax, heal and transform within every level of being. “Yogic sleep” is a state of consciousness between waking and sleeping in which the body is completely relaxed. The guided journey will bring your awareness to all levels of your being – the physical body, the energetic body, the mind and emotions, your inner knowledge, all the way to the core of your being – the bliss body.
