This chair yoga series is designed for those who are looking for the benefits of yoga, but need a little assistance in their movements and balance. You will utilize a chair to help guide you through your poses, as directed by your instructor.
Classes may focus on the following:
Arthritis Focus: Gentle, slow moving poses ideally suited to anyone managing arthritis pain. Adheres to the Arthritis Foundation exercise guidelines.
Balance and Fall: Improve your balance and reduce your risk of falling by practicing specific yoga poses.
Circulation and Balance: A series of exercises designed to improve circulation and balance.
Core and Body Alignment: Body alignment starts in the brain, research has found that certain types of movements keep the brain active and help it develop new neurological pathways. This is a fun and challenging class designed to keep the mind flexible and alert.
Osteoporosis: Includes poses that affect bone health and helps in reducing falls and preventing osteoporosis. Also improve postural stability, core strength and balance skills.
Lymphatic: The role of the lymphatic system is explained. The lymph removes toxins from the body. Poses will stimulate healthy lymphatic flow, including self-massage / relaxation.
