GD Alumni + Winter Program
A winter paddling program for GD alumni and senior-aged paddlers looking for advanced recreational practices.
This 20 week program will practice 1x per week, on Sundays at 12:30 PM, from October 26 to March 22 (no practices December 21 and 28).
NOTE: you must be a VI Paddling member to register for this program.
Cost: $252 + GST

Join the summer paddling season with the GD Alumni +!
This program is for GD alumni and senior-aged paddlers (50+) looking for advanced recreational practices.
This program will practice 2x per week, on Sundays at 12:30 PM and Wednesdays at 7 PM, from March 29 to September 16.
Coach: Roman Mateschyn
Races will be TBD based on interest, but should include several local races.

About the team: Wanting to showcase the many awesome qualities of dragon boating to more awesome people, the idea to start a women’s recreational team with a focus on those of us over 40 was born. Led by a world class competitor with a great sense of humour, this team will surely be a force to be reckoned with. Come for after-work paddles on the Gorge. Aspire to dragon boat festival fun. Stay and grow your new found strength with your Mighty Mermaid team.
Coach: Janice Meier, DBC Level 1 Community Coach certified. Competed with the Gorging Dragons team at 4 national championships and 3 world championships.
