Our kids yoga teachers create a fun, empowering, educational, and creativity-boosting camp experience. They will practice yoga and breath work to align their energy and bodies, learn to express themselves creatively and compassionately, practice working cooperatively in large and small groups, and be introduced to activities they may not have tried before!

You (parent) can save their spot as unpaid. When you drop them off, we will help you create their profile and sign their waiver.

How the program works:
Crissy Keye Rollins and Victoria Privette are co-leading this program. We will begin with an in-person kick off meeting to set up full support for each person. We will meet on Zoom for brief and interactive meetings 10 times throughout the program for online support sessions to dive into the themes/areas of inquiry. These brief meetings are recorded for viewing anytime. Participants are encouraged to practice yoga in the studio as much as their schedules allow for 15 days before and during the program. Participants can take advantage of unlimited virtual support with Crissy. We will wrap up with another in-person meeting to wrap up the in-depth learning. All in-person meetings and yoga are hosted at Victory Power Yoga.

When the program takes place:
We begin April 28th with our in-person meeting at Victory Power Yoga at 5:30-6:45pm. If want to begin after this date, that is okay, too! We will record our meeting and scheduled Zoom calls for you to set your own Body Breakthrough timeline. Unlimited yoga begins April 28 through May 12, 2019. If you are following along with the group start time, we will wrap up with an in-person meeting and yoga on May 11th at 11:00a-12:15p.

Heart Wild Open

We're hosting Cara Griffin, traveling yoga instructor and founder of Breath and Barefeet Yoga.

Tap into your potential and release your wild side by discovering the incredible world of backbends! In this workshop, we’ll move through heart opening postures to experience increased energy, heightened awareness, and spinal mobility. All abilities will be empowered to explore postures like full wheel, drop backs, camel and king pigeon. You’ll develop the tools for incorporating heart openers throughout your asanas.You'll leave with a greater understanding of why the backbend is your gateway to compassion, connection, and freedom.

This workshop is 2 hours and focused on heart and shoulder mobility and advanced variations. All levels welcomed.

Happy Hips With Cara Griffin

We're hosting Cara Griffin, traveling yoga instructor and founder of Breath and Barefeet Yoga.

Develop resilience in your hip joints and experience deep tissue release in this workshop exploring the importance of a happy and healthy pelvic foundation. With over 20 muscles crossing the hips, no wonder they feel tight. We’ll explore adaptation and advancement of hip postures throughout vinyasa sequencing. You’ll expand your understanding of how the three planes of pelvic mobility support spinal stability, reverse degeneration, and allow you to enjoy functional and emotional freedom.

This workshop is 2 hours with a focus on deep hip tension release, advanced variation of hip opening poses and a healthy understanding of how hips work!

This workshop is non-heated. Wear comfortable yoga clothes to move, stretch, twist and flow. Bring your yoga mat and water. Feel free to bring any personal yoga props if you'd like.

Teaching Restorative Yoga Training

Restorative yoga is a gentle inward form of yoga that invites participants to move towards greater balance, control and participation in their life. The participant’s body is placed in yoga postures that are supported with props. The mind is invited to slow down with the use of pranayama, visualization and mantra allowing the individual to turn inside. A restorative practice is a complement to any yoga practice or other form of exercise and perfect for almost any practitioner looking to experience a deeper state of relaxation and healing than Savasana or sleep. It is also a perfect practice for those recovering from injury or illness or anyone who experiences stress on a daily basis.

In this weekend restorative yoga training created from the Tantric Hatha Yoga Teachings, the work of Herbert Benson and Jon Kabat Zinn, participants will gain practical, hands-on experience and skills to work with a wide range of populations. The program will include posture practice, pranayama, meditation, mantra, mudra, visualization, and use of props to create a safe/comfortable/healing environment. Participants will leave the training confident in their ability to understand the philosophy and science behind restorative yoga as well as self-assured in their aptitude to lead their students through a complete restorative yoga practice.

Victory Power Yoga is honored and excited to host the Pranakriya School Of Yoga and Healing Arts. Did you know, this is the style that one of our own instructors, Catherine Striegel studies with! Join us for an immersive weekend of learning.
