About Yoga Nidra:
Yoga Nidra is a technique in which you learn to relax consciously. The word 'nidra' is translated literally to mean sleep but in this practice sleep is not regarded as true relaxation. For absolute relaxation, one must remain aware, and is in a state of awareness between wakefulness and dreams. It is a system of inducing complete physical, mental, and emotional relaxation. Ashley Baer is a certified Health & Wellness Coach, 200RYT who has also trained in meditation and mindfulness with and studied with Jon Kabat Zinn, local teacher and mindfulness based Therapist -Lena Franklin, as well as being certified by the Omega Institute to teach Mindfulness in Education.
