New Year's Yin, Yoga Nidra, & Brunch
Come reset, restore, and set your
intentions for 2020 with us on New Year's Day with a 75 min Yin and
Nidra session led by Ashley Baer followed by mimosas and brunch
(Brunch location TBD).
Tickets are $30/student and include 1
hour Yin & Nidra class at Village Yoga and a mimosa. A special
Brunch menu will be available.
About Yoga Nidra:
Yoga Nidra is a technique in which you
learn to relax consciously. The word 'nidra' is translated
literally to mean sleep but in this practice sleep is not regarded
as true relaxation. For absolute relaxation, one must remain aware,
and is in a state of awareness between wakefulness and dreams. It
is a system of inducing complete physical, mental, and emotional
relaxation. Practicing a method such as this can calm the entire
emotional structure of the mind. It is an effective way to release
stress and induce deep physiological rest and relaxation.
Scientific studies have shown that practicing yoga nidra can lower
blood pressure, anxiety levels, cure insomnia, and change your
brain wave patterns, and all of these benefits without any effort
or movement! This is the practice of Yoga Nidra-a state of dynamic
sleep which is a deep relaxation with inner awareness. Yoga Nidra
