OUR TEACHER:
Alissa Juvan is an elevatED certified pole instructor and accredited coach. She is an actor, writer and producer and is known for getting shit done. A Vermont native, Alissa moved to the UK for a number of years where she supported other artists in their creative careers and then moved to Los Angeles to pursue her own acting career. Notable acting roles include “I Spit On Your Grave: Vengeance is Mine” and “Ryan Hansen Solves Crimes on Television”, in addition to writing, producing and starring in her original series, “Kiddie Litter”, about a lesbian couple raising their son like a cat, before moving back to Vermont.

REST : Yoga & Acupuncture
Jan 27, 2019 - Jan 27, 2019

Join us at Womens Room on December 8th at noon for a workshop that combines the two ancient and very powerful health systems of yoga and acupuncture. You'll experience deep healing and relaxation as a result of quieting your mind and dropping into body and spirit.

The restorative yoga sequence involves a few light twists, seated forward folds, and gentle backbends that are supported by props and held for 5 minutes or longer allowing you to completely relax and rest.

Auricular Acupuncture is a quick and easy form of acupuncture that can be incorporated into a regular acupuncture treatment, or be used as a treatment on it’s own. It’s also great for anyone who has an issue with needles, but still wants to take advantage of the benefits of acupuncture. It is almost pain-free, having about the same sensation as a gentle pinch. Ear acupuncture points may be stimulated for a longer period of time by using ear seeds (see image below) or ear tacks rather than needles. These seeds are held in place on the ear with a small piece of adhesive tape for 5-7 days, stimulating the acupoints to promote healing.

Appropriate for those new to acupuncture and yoga.

Jan 27, 2019 - Feb 24, 2019

NOURISH is about spending time in a community of women and honoring your own needs. NOURISH is a way of thinking and living that connects you to self-care of your body and mind. We will be talking about food, yes. But not in a way that assumes there is one right way to eat or that we all should be eating the same food. And, nourishment is about more than food. It is about showing up with and for your authentic self to nourish your mind and heart. Are you ready to jump in and create a strong foundation that allows you to live well and feel amazing?

We are on a mission to support you in owning your beautiful radiant self. Together we will engage in a process of discovering what you are craving and how to nourish your many appetites. We will talk about foods to optimize your vitality, we will share practices and rituals that strengthen your relationship to yourself, and we will explore ways of thinking that nourish mind. There will be daily journaling practices and homework assignments to keep you connected to your radiant lifestyle as you move between weekly sessions. We will share tools, resources, recipes, and things we love.

R E S T : Restorative Yoga with Massage and CBD
Feb 2, 2019 - Feb 2, 2019

This workshop combines the deep relaxation of restorative yoga with massage and hands on adjustments with the healing benefits of CBD oils. Our yoga will be taught by Beth Elise Kruger of Beth Kruger Yoga and Women's Room, hands on adjustments and massage will be provided by Beth, and Emily Jane of Inner Source Massage + Bodywork.

Restorative yoga involves laying around on bolsters and actively doing NOTHING! Sometimes this can be challenging, but the massage, hands on adjustments and oils will help us ease into full relaxation. Restorative yoga also helps to calm the central nervous system, and allows the internal organs to nourish themselves by working less intensely and experiencing replenishing oxygenation.

We will speak briefly about the benefits of CBD oils, and their effects on the body. We will have Elmore Mountain Therapeutics CBD: all natural and organic product to sell before and after the workshop, if you want to take this wonderful antidote to stress and anxiety home with you. $5 off a small bottle, (making cost $40) and $20 off a large bottle (making the cost $100.

Ladies Night: A Gathering of Sisterhood
Feb 17, 2019 - Feb 17, 2019

This month, we gather in sisterhood to celebrate new beginnings. As the new year opens and we invite in prosperity for the coming year, we must first release the stale ideas and energies that hold us back.

Join me and other sisters as we craft Release Boards and learn how to shed unwanted attachments with love and acceptance. Be ready to release and also to be witnessed by your sisters as you call out what you want most in the new year.

During Ladies Night we gather as daughters, mothers and sisters. We tell our stories and sing our songs with pride. We learn, we heal, and we grow. We hold a safe space for our sisters to walk their path and to discover all the things that make them uniquely beautiful. Won't you join our tribe and once again discover the Wild Woman who dwells within all of us.

Michelle Muller leads this Womens' Circle: here is our intruduction from her:

I am a Certified Sacred Women’s Circle Creatrix, Chef, Reiki Practitioner and an earth goddess at heart. I recently purchased my own homestead in Underhill, Vermont and stay busy and fulfilled creating my own safe and healing space with gardens, animals and most importantly, love. I strive to build a self-sustaining homestead where women in my community can gather, cook, talk, heal and support each other. I am honored to guide women on their journey to discovering their voice, strength and truest path. I believe that as women, there are more things that unite us than separate us. Life is a journey and sisterhood makes it a little more beautiful.

As I learn I teach and as I teach I learn. Thank you for walking this path with me and for honoring the Wild Woman within.

Stay safe, stay well, stay wild!
