Become Xpose Fitness Certified!

Xpose has created a program to encourage all Xpose Divas to become more well-rounded. It's like the black belt system in Martial Arts; you will climb up the ranks, in order, with the goal of earning your black garter!

Purple Garter is the Sexy Stretch 2 Xpose Fitness Certification Level. All applicants are expected to have taken several Sexy Stretch classes to be familiar with the vocabulary and able to perform the most commonly taught basic static stretches and know the major muscle groups you are stretching.

You will be expected to demonstrate your basic understanding of various stretching
techniques with little guidance from the instructor. You will be assessed on the proper
form of each stretch and on your basic knowledge of how to effectively stretch each
muscle group. Please note that your level of flexibility is not the focus. Assessing your
knowledge of how to stretch specific areas safely and efficiently is the goal.

The instructor is going to be strict when assessing your performance, and she will expect
that you have already learned how to effectively stretch each muscle group during
classes. This is not designed as an instructional class. It’s like a final exam, so you will
have to truly earn your garter!

Part I – Warm Up
The instructor will thoroughly warm up your entire body head to toe so your body is
prepared for stretching. You will not be assessed on the warm-up.

Part II –
The instructor will provide you with a labeled and numbered muscle diagram. They will
ask you to perform a stretch for the muscle system labeled 1, and then 2 and so on. You
will execute each stretch with proper form, and hold the stretch until the instructor is
finished assessing the entire class and calls for the next number (30 seconds to 1 minute.)
 
Muscle groups you should know how to stretch:
Upper Body
Trapezius – neck/upper back
Deltoids – shoulder
Pectoralis – chest
Triceps – outside upper arm
Biceps – inside upper arm
Lattisimus Dorsi – mid back

Core
Abdominals – stomach
Obliques – sides

Lower Body
Iliapsoas – hip flexors
Gluteus – buttocks
Quadriceps – front of thigh
Hamstrings – back of thigh
Adductors – inner thigh
Gastrocnemius – calf

Part III –
You will receive a short list from the above muscle groups from the instructor, and you
will pick two from that group. For both of these two you will demonstrate a stretch (this
may be the same one you used in Part II,) a way to increase/extend that stretch and a
“mental note” that describes a concept of form, efficiency and/or safety that you have in
mind when doing that stretch.

Part IV - Assessment
The Instructor will tabulate the scores and award garters to those who are certified!

Gold Garter is the Pole 4 Xpose Fitness Certification Level. All applicants are expected to have taken several Pole Level 4 classes to be familiar with the vocabulary and able to perform the most commonly taught basic spins, transitional moves and pole strengthening exercises.

You will be expected to understand the terminology as well as demonstrate and perform Level 4 Moves with little to no guidance from the Instructor. You will be assessed on the technical aspect of the moves themselves, plus how polished your performance is so put on your sexy faces, and point your toes!
 
 
The instructor is going to be strict when assessing your performance, and will expect that you have already learned these moves during previous classes. This is not designed as an instructional class- it’s like a final exam, so you will have to truly earn your garter!
 
 
 
Part I- Individual Moves
 
After a warm-up, you will be split up into small groups. You will demonstrate each move, one by one, while the instructor assesses your performance. You may be asked to repeat these moves multiple times, on your dominant and non-dominant side.
 
 
 
Part II- Routine Instruction & Performance
 
Your instructor will teach you a fully choreographed routine incorporating most or all of the above Level 3 Moves. This routine will incorporate moves from levels 1 and 2 as well as other basic dance moves and floor work that are used in both Floor/Chair and Pole Classes. You will then perform the routine as the moves are called out.
 
 
 
Part III- Assessment
 
The two Instructors will confer and award 2 Gold Garters to those who are certified.
 
If you do not pass, you will receive 3 free classes; please work on perfecting your moves and try again!
 
 

Should you not pass a level, have no fear! You will receive 3 free classes to polish up those moves, so you can come back and try again!

Once you earn your black garter you will also receive a Certificate of Completion and a custom Xpose Fitness Order of the Garter Hoodie with your name on it.

Become Xpose Fitness Certified!

Congratulations on making it all the way to the Black Garter Exam! This garter exam is going to be completely different from all the exams so far. This is more like a recital/exam. During this exam you will choreograph and perform a 3:30-4 minute routine incorporating all of the required elements listed below. These elements must be typed and handed into Xpose the day of the exam. This list should ONLY include the required elements that you would like graded. You can include additional moves in your routine. You will not be allowed to incorporate any props of any kind. You will not be allowed to use the chair at all. This is pole only. No costumes are allowed, so it will be your work out attire only. Shoes are not required, so you can perform in bare feet. You must pick your own music. Two hard copies and one digital copy (emailed to xposetowson@xposefitness.com) must be given to Xpose one week before the exam date.

You will be graded by a panel of Xpose Fitness Certified Instructors. They will be checking that you complete all of the criteria. They will be looking for smoothness, grace, confidence, pointed toes, faces. It has been suggested by your Black Garter instructor, Chrissy Fletcher, that you choose only moves that you are already comfortable doing. Do not try brand new things for this exam.

In addition, you will be allowed to invite female friends and family to come and support you through this experience. They will each pay $5 for entry. At the end, there will be an awards ceremony where everyone who has passes will be awarded her Black Garter.

 

Required Elements

  1. You must include 3 moves from Pole Level 1
  2. You must include 1 move from Pole Level 2
  3. You must include 1 move from Pole Level 3
  4. You must include 1 move from Pole Level 4
  5. You must include 2 moves from Pole Level 5 
  6. In addition, you must include 2 moves on your non-dominate side from Pole Leve 2 or above.

2. Routine – Applicant will receive a link to a You Tube video outlining a Level 4 Pole routine. This routine must be performed, recorded and submitted for grading.

Leopard Garter is the Floor/Chair 3 Xpose Fitness Certification Level. All applicants are expected to have taken several Floor/Chair classes to be familiar with the vocabulary and able to perform the more advanced Floor/Chair moves. The certification consists of two separate parts and must be submitted via digital video for grading. (The video will only be viewed by the Garter Instructor, and will not be distributed or shared with any other entity.) The video must be submitted in its entirety—this means no pausing, editing, or any other manipulation of the video. :

 

1. Compulsory Moves – Comprised of a list of advanced movements commonly taught in Floor/Chair classes. Applicant must be aware of vocabulary characteristic of this level and be able to demonstrate the list of movements without instructor explanation and be able to properly perform each move for a specified duration, unless it is a pose. This will be submitted via video for grading.

 

2. Routine – Applicant will receive a link to a You Tube video outlining a Floor/Chair 3 routine. This routine must be performed, recorded and submitted for grading.

Become Xpose Fitness Certified!

Xpose has created a program to encourage all Xpose Divas to become more well-rounded. It's like the black belt system in Martial Arts; you will climb up the ranks, in order, with the goal of earning your black garter!

Purple Garter is the Sexy Stretch 2 Xpose Fitness Certification Level. All applicants are expected to have taken several Sexy Stretch classes to be familiar with the vocabulary and able to perform the most commonly taught basic static stretches and know the major muscle groups you are stretching. The certification consists of one part which must be submitted via digital video for grading. (The video will only be viewed by the Garter Instructor, and will not be distributed or shared with any other entity.) The video must be submitted in its entirety—this means no pausing, editing, or any other manipulation of the video:

Static Stretches – Comprised of a list of muscle groups. You will be required to record yourself executing a stretch for each muscle group with proper form. Applicant must name the muscle group while demonstrating the stretch for 30 seconds to be submitted via video for grading.

How to Register:

1. Sign up – register here on this page and you will receive an auto-email confirming your registration with the list of muscles!

2. Set up a You Tube account if you do not already have one. It is helpful if the email for your You Tube account is the same email used for Xpose Fitness but not absolutely necessary.

3. You are ready to go! Your auto-email will have all of the details and any further instructions.

**Please note: You will have ONE week from registering to complete the certification process. Please do not register if you are not able to complete the process. There are no refunds.**

Should you not pass a level, have no fear! You will receive 3 free classes to polish up those moves, so you can come back and try again!

Once you earn your black garter you will also receive a Certificate of Completion and a custom Xpose Fitness Order of the Garter Hoodie with your name on it.
