Laughter yoga is a fun and unique exercise that combines laughter, breath, and playful movement. Laughter yoga utilizes the benefits of laughter without the use of humor or jokes. The laughter itself triggers the release of feel good hormones and endorphins. In combination with pranayama, play, and movement, this practice will have you feeling vibrantly alive and energized. Each class is completed with a grounding meditation and savasana to leave you experiencing a balance of peace & joy.

Yin yoga invites us to slow down, and mindfully notice the present moment. Postures are held for approximately 1-5 minutes, supporting a deep opening within the connective tissue of the body. Students can expect a relaxing and meditative experience, as we invite each posture to be a short meditation of its own.

There are many styles of yoga. Some of them are very active (Yang) while other styles of yoga tend to be more passive (Yin). To create harmony in the body we need to create a balance between the yin and the yang. Whereas the focus of yang yoga practices is on muscle tissue, yin yoga practices focuses on connective tissue including fascia, ligament, tendon, and bone. We need both kinds of practice to maintain optimal health and as we age we need more yin practices.
This certification program is open to everyone; you do not need to be a yoga instructor to attend the program. It is helpful to yoga instructors, personal trainers, any type of group fitness instructors, and students who want to create a home yin practice for themselves.
