Guru Nanak Dev ji is the first Sikh Guru and founder of Sikhism. Within each Guru is the Light of Nanak. Guru Nanak Dev ji came into this world 553 years ago as an enlightened, illuminated Soul. He was a revolutionary of his time, standing up and speaking up for the rights of all people. He traveled far and wide delivering a powerful message of Oneness across the land; spreading the Love of the Divine in his praises, and singing his Divine poetry. He exclaimed that Love was his meditation! He would teach people that the same universal essence that was in him, was in everyone and everything. When you wake up to this realization, you cannot help but love the other person, you cannot help but serve them, you cannot help but stand up for them, you cannot help but see them as you.
