Yoga is a spiritual discipline, not a religion. Yoga can be practiced alongside ANY religion, or without any religion at all! Paisley Parvati Devi & Mianna Morrison invite you to join them for a quarterly exploration of the 4 primary philosophies of Yoga, and how they can be practically applied to our lives in a unique way!
Throughout the year, each workshop will be dedicated to exploring one of the following: Bhakti Yoga (devotion), Jñana Yoga (study), Raja Yoga (practice), and Karma Yoga (service). This class is the final installment in the series.
In December, we will explore Karma Yoga: the Yoga of action & selfless
service. It goes hand in hand with Bhakti Yoga. Karma Yoga is
intended to bring liberation through selfless devotion to the
Divine in the form of all beings, which allows the practitioner to
see beyond the illusion of separation (maya). A devotional attitude
aims to ease the suffering of another as if it were our own, and
embodies the golden rule, “treat others the way you would like to
be treated.”
This offering is donation-based, with 15% of proceeds going to
support a local charitable organization.
Please bring your favorite comfy cushions & blankets to sit on,
a journal and pens, and tea if you'd like.
We will be at The Yoga Place on Wise Ave in North Canton from 10 -
11:30am on December 3rd, 2023!
