Join Bethany Santos and Matthew DeRubertis for a Kundalini Yoga practice with live music to commemorate the Winter Solstice. This practice will serve as a potent way to transition into the inward months of rest and introspection. Bethany will lead the practice, while Matthew provides live sound and music. The class will include a long sound bath meditation with bowls, gong, chimes and more - taking everyone into a deep and expansive place. $15 - $25 sliding scale.

On the evening after the Winter Solstice, come to the circle for stories, to honor plant perspectives, ancient concepts of seasonal time, and the wisdom of trees. We may imagine entering a sacred arbor vitae grove, or remember a mythic cedar guardian. We might wonder about a shape-changing serpent of the forest, an oak who calls for justice, or a pair of trees who are deeply in love. Dianna Rhyan will share some words from her book Staff of Laurel, Staff of Ash: Sacred Landscapes in Ancient Nature Myth. In plant time, from forest and borderland, in ancient myths almost lost forever, nature will say things we no longer can.
Gloria McAlister will facilitate interludes of grounding, contemplation, and movement in the circle.
You can make a donation at the event.
