
New Beginners’ Yoga with Cynthia Winick. This step-by-step class is a great way to get started. Cynthia will guide the students in a progressive series, adding a little more each week, resulting in a great Introduction to Yoga postures and alignment. A safe and practical way to bring more balance into one's life. Students will gain body awareness and learn 10 essential yoga poses. The five-week session meets at The Yoga Place for five Wednesdays in a row. Please pre-register for all sessions for $50. If pre-registration is troublesome, skip the hassle and register in person, either at the class, or before.

In this class, you will learn the foundational movements and techniques of belly dance. You will also learn to understand and appreciate how your body works during dance and how to isolate specific muscles and breathe through movement. Belly dance can increase confidence, relieve stress and tension, and create a time that is just for you to relax and celebrate your body and how it moves.
This beginner series will focus on proper posture and technique that will allow you to learn the foundations of belly dance. From there we will build up to movement combinations. Students should wear comfortable exercise clothes and either bare feet or socks.

In this class, you will continue to build on the foundational movements and techniques of belly dance learned in the Beginner class.
You will continue learning to understand and appreciate how your body works during dance and how to isolate specific muscles and breathe through movement while enjoying movement combinations and short choreography. Belly dance can increase confidence, relieve stress and tension, and create a time that is just for you to relax and celebrate your body and how it moves.
This Intermediate class will focus on continued use of proper posture and technique that will allow you to build on the foundations of belly dance and begin exploring more in depth movements, isolations and layering of movements.

This Advanced Belly Dance class is recommended for students who have at least one year of experience in Belly Dance. In this class we expand on techniques learned in the Beginner and Intermediate level classes. The class is focused on learning choreography and developing stage presence while continuing working on drills and conditioning for a healthy dance practice.
