Celebrate the Christmas season with a cozy 105-minute Yoga experience filled with warmth, creativity, and self-compassion. This special holiday class begins with a guided, non-dominant hand drawing to tap into your playful spirit and open space for self-reflection. We'll then flow into a gentle 45-minute Yoga practice, blending movement and breathwork to nurture kindness within. Afterward, settle in with homemade dairy-free hot cacao, light snacks, and festive cheer as you continue decorating your artwork. As a gift, each participant will receive a gem - - a token of peace, balance, and seasonal warmth to carry through the winter season.A Christmas Yoga Journey is $45 per person.Space is limited to 10 participants. Please register and pay by Sunday, December 8 to reserve your space.
Create your own Mandala while learning about and experiencing the attitudes of mindfulness. Additionally, you will enjoy a mindful-movement practice and a restorative-rest session enhanced by sound medicine. All materials are provided. No prior yoga experience is required.
We will practice asanas and be taught to create a mandala to practice the Yogic concepts of dharana (concentration) and dhyana (meditation). It’s impossible to ‘empty’ the mind, but we can train it to become so completely absorbed with one thing that we lose all sense of time and space. This is the process of dharana and dhyana.
A mandala is a spiritual and ritual symbol. It can be understood in two different ways: externally as a visual representation of the universe, or internally as a guide to connect with universal energy. In Hinduism and Buddhism, the belief is that by entering the mandala and proceeding towards its center, you are guided through the cosmic process of transforming the universe from one of suffering into one of joy and happiness.
Workshop Schedule:
- Philosophy, dotting instruction, & applying our first layer of paint
- Gentle asana practice
- Applying our second layer of paint
- Restorative asanas with sound medicine
$40 includes all supplies: circular stone, dotting tools, paint, and a surface on which to paint.
Participation is limited to 15 people, thank you.
In order to fully prepare your heart for Christmas, to remove the obstacles that hinder our focus on the Divine, join us for a night of restoration and meditation on Jesus. In this class, you will hear scripture from the book of Matthew and Luke as you settle into your supported restorative poses. A silent time of reflection will follow each pose so you can fully allow the love of Jesus to enfold you. All while hearing beautiful acoustic guitar strum familiar sounds.
Christ Divine is the center of the Christmas holiday. Let’s celebrate this glorious season together. Bring your mat and water, and maybe your favorite cozy blanket.
This event is open to everyone on a donation basis with 100% going to Akron-Canton Regional foodbank.
